Mr. Magyar is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and a professional member of the National Association of Emergency Managers. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He is a Master Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist (MCAS) and professional member of the Anti-Terrorism Accrediting Board. He is certified in Homeland Security Level V (CHS-V) and professional member of the American College of Forensic Examiners and American Board for Certification in Homeland Security where he holds Diplomat status. He holds Member Grade of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE) and a professional member of the International Society of Fire Engineers. He is a designated Chief Fire Officer (CFO) and Chief Emergency Medical Services Officer (CEMSO). He holds numerous other professional credentials and memberships.

Mr. Magyar resides in Montgomery, PA with his wife Jeanna and three daughters McKenna, Lauren and Victoria. He enjoys mountain biking, boating, target shooting and Yankee baseball.
