Cofounder Andrew Frost opened offices in San Francisco, and began to build a private investment business to redeploy Susuehanna’s trading profits. Its deal scouts in China were the first to back Zhang Yiming, the creator of ByteDance, in 2013.
The Financial Times recently reported Jane Street made $6.7 billion in the trading bonanza that was 2020.
