Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility - Trainee
World Fuel Services' sustainability and corporate responsibility internship program offers students a great opportunity to gain exposure and experience working with the company's sustainability management team at its corporate headquarters in Miami, Florida. The internship will provide hands-on experience in supporting the company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts, particularly environmental and social matters and impacts.

Responsibilities; Duties:
Conduct research on sustainability and other ESG matters relevant to the company's or its customers' industries (using publicly available info, such as articles, websites, etc.) Prepare case studies / summaries on specific strategies, activities, and approach to sustainability Support projects related to the collection of internal sustainability data and metrics Meet regularly with key leader(s) to provide updates on projects, results achieved, obtain help and direction as needed as well as participate in other relevant meetings, as schedule permits Assist with ad hoc initiatives related to sustainability and ESG matters, as needed Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree with an interest in energy, sustainability or other ESG-related issues; relevant coursework preferred Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to work under time pressure to meet established deadlines Strong oral and written communication skills High attention to detail Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Spanish or other language a plus.Motivated and energetic with an ability to work independently, multi-task and problem solve.Minimum GPA of 3.0

Ameresco has a NEW opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Intern to join Ameresco's Central Region Project Development Team based in Evanston, Illinois or Oak Brook, Illinois. This is a paid internship (32- 40 hours per week) scheduled for January thru March.

Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities;Provide assistance with energy assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retrofit analysis;Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems;Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency;Analyze and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems;Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures;Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review;Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases and Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Northwestern University Student currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in science or engineering with an interest in Energy and/or Sustainability.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an EHS Sustainability Intern to join our EHS department at our Dublin, Ohio location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the EH&S Sustainability intern will directly support Ashland's Director of Environmental and Sustainability. This position will report to the Environmental Program Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Participation on the Sustainability Engagement Team.Gain an understanding of the Global Reporting Initiative G4 Standards and use that to assist with the transition Ashland's annual sustainability report to conform with the new reporting requirements.Support global procurement's supplier sustainability project to help Ashland gain better insight into potential sustainability related issues in the supply chain.Work with communications team to execute internal and external communications plan with respect to sustainability.Gather and analyze sustainability metrics data, identify trends and improvement opportunities.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Commitment to work safely and provide excellent customer service.Working toward a degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering or science, sustainability, or related fields.Knowledge of related agencies and programs a plus, such as: UN SDGs, GRI, TfS, Ecovadis, Ecodesk, SEDEX, etc.
Ability to work individually and within teams.Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and Access a plus.
