Our Santa Monica, CA office is searching for a Sustainability+ Energy Modeler to join our global sustainability studio, BEYOND. This person will be the in-house professional for energy and carbon modeling, guidelines, and applications. AECOM is seeking experienced Environmental Project Manager in the Northeast region with leaking underground storage tank (UST) investigation/remediation experience and leaking UST regulatory knowledge in the states of CT, MA, NH, NY, and/or RI. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the Northeast region including but not limited to Rocky Hill CT, Chelmsford MA, Manchester, NH or Providence, RI. AECOM has an opening for an entry level Geologist in our Long Beach, California office to assist with a variety of projects including data management, site investigations and remediation.
This position is expected to begin in Spring 2026.
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. The office activities will involve the preparation of investigation reports.

Position Summary
Our Santa Monica, CA office is searching for a Sustainability+ Energy Modeler to join our global sustainability studio, BEYOND. This person will be the in-house professional for energy and carbon modeling, guidelines, and applications. This person will be assisting sustainability projects with a focus on rating systems including but not limited to LEED, WELL, WELL H-S, Fitwel, and Zero Carbon. General Responsibilities: HLW Knowledge & Understanding
Work with internal team to help accomplish goals of the HLW Sustainability Action Plan.
As part of HLW's commitment to AIA 2030, work with all HLW offices to report operational carbon within the DDx.
Participate in the HLW internal sustainability group, BEYOND Alliance.
Project Related - All Phases
Project-specific research (materials, construction, site, water, embodied carbon, biophilic design, and indoor environmental quality).
Perform energy simulations, basic calculations, energy efficiency calculations, and whole life and embodied carbon calculations.
Perform high performance building modeling and evaluation including but not limited to ASHRAE 90.1 energy modeling, NYCECC compliance modeling, and CalGreen modeling.
Evaluate energy conservation measures and provide innovative sustainability and energy efficiency solutions.
Apply energy models for sustainability rating systems such as LEED, BREEAM, Zero Carbon, and CORE.
Review of drawings and specifications for compliance with project sustainability goals.
Completion of required documentation (credit templates, narratives, calculations, and online templates).
Anticipate carbon and energy industry trends in various geographical locations and help develop project tools and support staff to continue to decarbonize our projects.
Respond to quickly changing project schedules and demands.
Communicate complex issues and timelines with large project teams.
Provide global sustainability support for offices in New York, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, San Francisco and London.
Role Qualifications
Professional degree required in sustainability, architecture, engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in energy modeling and energy consulting or equivalent education/training but candidates with more experience are strongly preferred.
EIT certification, CEM, and/or ASHRAE BEMP certification preferred.
Knowledge of eQUEST, Energy Plus, IESVE, One Click LCA, or similar tools.
One or more professional accreditations (LEED, WELL, Fitwel, LFA, etc.).

AECOM is seeking experienced Environmental Project Managers in the Northeast region with leaking underground storage tank (UST) investigation/remediation experience and leaking UST regulatory knowledge in the states of CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, RI, and/or VT. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the Northeast region including but not limited to Rocky Hill, Chelmsford, Providence. The candidate will be allowed to work remotely, however they need to reside in one of the states mentioned above. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate UST investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large-sized investigation/remediation and construction projects. Completing a variety of remedial designs
Building strong client relationships
Client and regulatory correspondence
Technical report writing and review
Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
Preparing cost estimates and proposals
Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
