The Agglomerate Line Operator's main focus is to ensure the product(s) being produced are within company and customer specifications by operating equipment on the product line. Will work closely with Quality Assurance and Packaging Agglomerate Lead with the goal of producing high-quality, cost-effective products. The Agglomerate Line Operator will be responsible for meeting all quality specifications on all finished goods - this includes, but is not limited to verifying all code dates and proper weights for each tote. The Agglomerate Line Operator must be knowledgeable in the activities of the personnel working on the line as he or she will assist in overseeing and training personnel. Troubleshooting and mechanical skills are a plus. Position Duties and Responsibilities: Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities for each position and equipment function on the agglomerate line. Check scales and tote weights at the beginning and during each shift; every two hours check the tote per pallet and record in appropriate location. Identify and remove defective products or materials. Communicate with other shifts and/or departments regarding potential problems, product needing blended, line changes, etc. Record all packaging information on packaging reports, and all changes or problems in the Shift Paperwork. Records must be legible, accurate, and complete, in English. Responsible for housekeeping and general appearance of Agglomerate and Packaging areas. Check at the start of each shift and during product changes that totes, date code stickers, etc. are correct for the product being packaged. Work cautiously around moving parts and equipment, adhere to LOTO safety, confined space policies and use good safety practices at all times. Timely completion of the check-out list and reports.
