Are you a business analyst who strives to deliver true customer value by bridging the gap between business and implementation teams? Based in Virginia, you will be working as a member of a highly motivated team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery of Swift messaging services and products like FIN, InterAct, FileAct, RMA, Copy services or SwiftNet Link amongst others. We are looking for a business/functional analyst who excels in translating business needs and requirements into technical functionalities and specifications for large size/complexity/system risk projects, ensuring customers' business problems are solved, while also investigating and connecting the dots across existing systems and processes. Within an agile environment, you will be working very closely with the product managers within your squad formulating user's stories that will serve to create the backlog later. This role encompasses a wide collaboration with several stakeholders such as Enterprise Architects, Solution Architect, Business Analyst and developers, within the Core Operations tribe and across other tribes/groups. You will often act with a high degree of autonomy-proactively seeking out the right people, information and documentation across the organisation to overcome hurdles and propose pragmatic solutions. Key responsibilities Define and analyse functional and non-functional requirements for messaging services products Do very detailed analysis on the change impact of other products and services across the company Explore AI-powered approaches to reverse-engineer and document existing system behavior, providing clarity on how current functionalities meet business requirements Thorough documentation of specifications Support testers in qualification cycles such as understanding business scenarios and define acceptance/exit criteria Proactively seeking information across teams and stakeholders, overcoming gaps or ambiguities by networking and driving alignment Play a key role in clarifying ownership and building consensus to ensure progress What to expect: You will contribute to product backlog management in collaboration with the product managers You will define, analyse, document, maintain and validate functional and non-functional requirements by working constructively and in close liaison with stakeholders You will produce, maintain and validate conceptual models of the solution (business, functional and/or data) You will analyse and propose solutions to technical and/or business problems in relation to current and future business environment, reconciling business requirements with technical solutions You will provide technical or relevant business knowledge during all phases of the development to resolve unique and complex business problems, recognising technical constraints. You will investigate and document existing implementations with support of AI tools, ensuring business requirements and technical reality are clearly mapped to each other. You will challenge the status quo and think out of the box for alternative/most efficient solutions.
