Promotes water safety events sponsored by the City of Miami. Assists the Parks Aquatic Coordinator or designee in the scheduling of Learn to Swim and water safety programs. Observes and analyzes students' performance and instructs them in techniques and strategies. Demonstrates proper use of equipment. Explains and enforces required safety rules and regulations. Conducts periodic inspections of equipment and/or facilities for cleanliness and safety. Prepares work orders for necessary repairs or replacements. Maintains accurate records of receipts and expenditures. May prepare or maintain reports. Performs other related work as required. Minimum Requirements Applicants must be 16 years of age.
