Job Summary The Swim Instructor provides comprehensive support to individuals of all ages, including children and adults, in the enhancement of their swimming techniques and skills. This is achieved through both individualized instruction and group lessons. Essential Functions and Tasks Positively and professionally teach swimming skills to students of various ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Follow the approved swim curriculum and implement lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning styles. Introduce and teach competitive swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) and provide constructive feedback to students. Use appropriate teaching aids and equipment to enhance learning, additionally ensuring that all swimming aids and equipment are kept in optimal condition. Instruct students on water safety rules and procedures. Maintain safety and constant supervision of students in the water to ensure everyone's safety. Assist in preventing and addressing safety concerns of all patrons in and around the pool. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized pool area. Represent the department and organization through proper uniform standards. Attend all in-service trainings including those outside of regular working hours.
