The Evelyn Kirrane Aquatics Center in Brookline is seeking several Part-time Lead Swim Instructors and Swim Instructor Aides to join our team at our beautiful Aquatics Center, boasting three pools and space for athletics, health, wellness, and camp activities for the public. The Aquatics Center features a six lane, 25 yard lap pool, a shallow water (three to four feet deep) lesson pool, and a 12 foot deep diving well with two 1-meter diving boards. Lead Swim Instructors require a current certification in American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (preferred) and/or experience teaching progressive-level group swim lessons. Completes incident and accident reports, as necessary. 7. Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment. 8. Trains and supervises class aides as assigned. 9. Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen. 3. Must be able to demonstrate all stokes and swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards. 4.
