Duties and Responsibilities Instruction (80%) * Teach undergraduate courses and labs in animal and aquaculture science (such as ANSC 200, 200L, 201, 321, 492) especially large, introductory lecture/lab sections, in alignment with departmental needs and priorities. Coordinate multi-section courses, assess a variety of undergraduate courses, labs and livestock animal farm practices in animal science undergraduate programs based on programmatic needs. * Develop, implement, and assess skills-based labs/practicums (e.g., livestock handling & welfare; water-quality testing; life-support systems; hatchery/nursery/grow-out practices). * Use evidence-based pedagogy and high-impact practices (field experiences, service learning, industry projects). * Advise and mentor undergraduates; contribute to student clubs/organizations (e.g., Pre-Vet Club, livestock judging), and serving on departmental, college, and/or university committees Service (20%) * Coordinate student training and supervised activities at CTAHR research stations and partner ranches/hatcheries/aquaculture facilities (in collaboration with station managers and faculty). * Build and sustain partnerships with Hawaii ranching, dairy, small ruminant, swine/poultry, and aquaculture sectors to support internships, site visits, and workforce development. * Contribute to program assessment and continuous improvement; serve on departmental/college/university committees. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
