We are a high quality, community-based swim lesson school looking for amazing educators to join our team. We are a tiny business but our big mission is to make swimming accessible for all people.
Our program is different from most swim schools- We offer affordable low-cost lessons and multicultural work environment with multilingual communication and instructing. We teach survival skills with trauma-informed practices and a play-based curriculum.
No swim experience is required- we prefer hiring educators and we are happy to teach you all aquatic skills, including how to swim if you are not currently able.

As a swim instructor you are responsible for the safety of each class and teaching swim skills to students using our curriculum. You will work to build water confidence within your students, encouraging each student to rise to the best of their abilities. Your Typical Responsibilities:

Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3pm-7pm), weekends (8am- 1pm), and holidays as required by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed!
Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.

Who We Are: The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a New Orleans early childhood education leader, a fun-filled summer day camp, and so much more. The WSI aide expectations will include assisting and teaching traditional swimming lessons under the direction of a Water Safety Instructor. The individuals will work with students ages 2-11 yrs old. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
