For more information about our YMCA Association please visit ********************* POSITION SUMMARY: The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for a youth cheer and tumbling instructor with a background in dance preferred. You will supervise groups of children and teach them simple sports skills. Preferred ability to also lead kids dance classes like hip hop as well. This is a part-time in-person position located at the Durango Hills YMCA. This position typically requires 3 - 6 hours per week. Our cheerleaders perform monthly at the Y's basketball scrimmages, as well as other Y events throughout the year! RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads and participates in group activities focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Prepares and delivers weekly lesson plans tailored to age and ability level. Organizes monthly performances to reinforce learning in a fun, game-like setting. Serves as a positive role model for program participants. Promotes safety as an overriding objective in all programming efforts. Contributes to a positive work environment.
