Job purpose

Key responsibilities
Lead and manage Datamatics Salesforce practice. Own the technical engagement and the ultimate success around all implementation projects, including Consulting, Implementations, Modernization Services, and Managed Services.
Lead complete lifecycle of service offerings like Pre-Sales / Transition / Service Delivery, including capabilities like Salesforce PDO and Integration Services.
Be a strategic business partner and influencer to grow our Salesforce business, scaling our ability to sell and deliver services around cloud enablement, migration, and transformation.
Responsible for designing, building solutions and providing required support to Sales / Pre-Sales teams across Salesforce Clouds including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Pardot (Marketing Cloud), Platform, Mulesoft, and Commerce Cloud.
Serve as a key partner to the sales team in helping to ensure customer success.
Study the existing services like processes, best practices and standardize the service offerings; strengthen and improve the maturity levels and make a strong practice.
Build new Salesforce capabilities, solutions, assets, accelerators, and team competencies by leveraging partnerships
Evangelize the technology and offerings - including Salesforce AI, Platform, Integration, and Product Development - to both internal/external stakeholders.
Focus on continuous improvement of service offerings. Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales and the Service Delivery team.
Drive strategic account growth and be responsible for the delivery of all Salesforce-related services to prospects and clients.

JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, ensure all necessary equipment is available and ready to use for swimming and pool events. Provides swim instruction and water safety to students of all skill levels and age ranges based on their needs while embodying the values of New Settlement Community Center. Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and promotes safety per New Settlement's mission, vision, policies and procedures. Builds positive relationships with members and program participants through effective listening and verbal skills and creatively finds ways to connect them to one another and the community.
Job Duties include but not limited to:
Water Safety Instructor
Conduct classes in a fun and gentle environment, following current teaching methods, policies and safety and emergency procedures as detailed in the New Settlement Community Center training manual, and as directed by the Aquatics Director.
Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as requested by Aquatics Director or Center Director.
Cleaning up pool equipment at the end of shifts.
Complete assignments such as certificate signing and progress reports prior to the specified deadline.
Able to switch to the role of a Lifeguard if requested by management.
Lifeguard
Maintains active surveillance of the pool area, checking for hazardous conditions when arriving.
Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with NSCC policies, procedures, and completes related reports as required.
Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
Maintains accurate records as required by the NSCC and/or the state health department code.
Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.
Performs chemical testing when not guarding, as required, and takes appropriate action.
Cleans pool equipment at the end of shifts and clean sup spills or messes left by community.
Properly cleans and reconstructs the pool vacuum when instructed by shift supervisor or Aquatics Director.
Works a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by management.
Able to switch to the role of a Water Safety Instructor, if requested.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Current Lifeguard or equivalent with two years' experience.
Must have experience teaching.
Basic life support, First Aid, CPR, AED Certified (American Red Cross Preferred). Current preferred - or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
Must demonstrate lifeguard skills per NSCC standards.
Work a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by management.
Enthusiastic, assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills.
Effectively communicate with customers and employees. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Follows schedules and enforces safety procedures.
Able to demonstrate swim strokes appropriately.

What will you be doing?
Swim Instructors are responsible for ensuring the success of swim lessons by:
Making sure you and your team are set up for success at every lesson by preparing your class materials and reviewing your lesson themes
Teaching 4 swimmers per class by going through a well-established and proven curriculum of water safety, swim and swimplay skills (6 swimmers in our infant, parent-and-me style lessons). Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and is followed by the next lesson consecutively for a 4-hour shift.
Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers at the end of class
Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as requested or needed
You'll guide new swimmers through their first days at Goldfish and be there to support them as they progress from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!

What will be expected of you?
Availability for set groups of lessons (no half-shifts or mid-shifts available). Our instructors are scheduled based on set lesson times from:

8:30-3:30 on Saturday
8:30-3:30 on Sunday
Employees must be able to arrive 15 minutes before swim lessons start to set up and participate in the pre-shift meeting.
Ability to work the same part-time scheduled days every week (Ex. Every Monday from 4:00-8:00)
You have to be patient & genuine - every swimmer learns at their own pace, in their own way. Your willingness to help each student as an individual and your ability to bring your own personality to the lessons you teach are key to the success of both you and your students.
You must have communication skills to work not only with children, but with parents and team members as well

Ability to adapt your teaching approach to match the experience and abilities of the participants.
Organizes and directs activities of assigned students in order to provide a high level of quality instruction for all students.
Ensures that all class students are registered and on the class roster prior to beginning class.
Are on a first-name personalized basis in meaningful instruction for the duration of the session.
Establishes positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
Resolves simple public complaints in matters related to swimming instruction and refers other complaints to the supervisor.
Enforces pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities.
Completes and submits records and documentation of completed lessons to the Aquatics supervisor and the American Red Cross office.
Works with the Aquatics supervisor on an on-going basis to upgrade, improve and refine individual teaching skills related to teaching effective swimming lessons to various age groups and various skill levels.
Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights.
Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing or walking for various lengths of time.
Ability to communicate effectively with Children and adults.
Other Responsibilities:
Ability to put an emphasis on water safety and drowning prevention as the basis of swimming and water recreation.
Must have strong communication, time management, critical thinking, ability to plan & organize and customer service skills.
Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings for all areas necessary.
Ensuring that there are lifeguards on duty during swim lessons.
Ability to submit the required course documents according to Red Cross procedural guidelines within the specified time frame.
Performs related duties as required.

What will you be doing?
Swim Instructors are responsible for ensuring the success of swim lessons by:
Making sure you and your team are set up for success at every lesson by preparing your class materials and reviewing your lesson themes
Teaching 4 swimmers per class by going through a well-established and proven curriculum of water safety, swim and swimplay skills (6 swimmers in our infant, parent-and-me style lessons). Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and is followed by the next lesson consecutively for a 4-hour shift.
Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers at the end of class
Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as requested or needed
You'll guide new swimmers through their first days at Goldfish and be there to support them as they progress from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!

What will be expected of you?
Availability for set groups of lessons (no half-shifts or mid-shifts available). Our instructors are scheduled based on set lesson times from:
4:00-8:00 Monday through Friday
8:30-3:30 on Saturday
8:30-3:30 on Sunday
Employees must be able to arrive 15 minutes before swim lessons start to set up and participate in the pre-shift meeting.
Ability to work the same part-time scheduled days every week (Ex. Every Monday from 4:00-8:00)
You have to be patient & genuine - every swimmer learns at their own pace, in their own way. Your willingness to help each student as an individual and your ability to bring your own personality to the lessons you teach are key to the success of both you and your students.
You must have communication skills to work not only with children, but with parents and team members as well

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Teaches potential lifeguards to the Red Cross standard and evaluate to the objectives of each rescue and CPR. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
You will teach the following classes:
· Lifeguard training (full classes)
· Lifeguard review
· Oxygen (not mandatory)
· CPR/AED and First Aid
General Functions:
· Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Completes related reports as required.
· Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
· Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.
· Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.
· Maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff.
· Maintains a safe, instructional, and supportive environment
· Emotional resiliency and cognitive abilities to carry out job responsibilities, ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional relationships, interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals and groups respecting social and cultural diversity and to maintain appropriate boundaries.
