All JCCSF Aquatics staff are expected to have outstanding customer service skills and be committed to Aquatics safety standards. Upon hire, Swim Instructors must complete 4 in person training courses (12 hours minimum) at a training rate of $23.50. After successful completion of the Swim Instructor trainings, the hourly increases to $26.20. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach classes according to the JCCSF Swim School curriculum. Must be at least 16 with a valid work permit Create a warm, friendly and safe environment for all classes. Check in with the deck coordinator 15 minutes before the start of the first class. Be in assigned teaching station 5 minutes before every class, ready to teach. Wear the JCCSF swim instructor uniform at all times while teaching. Greet all students as they arrive for class. Evaluate students' progress every class. Maintain direct and clear communication with the Program Coordinator about students' progress. Assist Program Coordinator with pool setups. Render first aid and CPR within the scope of employee's certifications. Attend all mandatory trainings or staff meetings as scheduled.
