Position Overview:
As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club team, you will be working by the water, with our large variety fleet of boats, as a dynamic individual to handle training and onboarding for our club members! Freedom Boat Club is the nation's oldest and largest private member boat club, and we are looking for a highly customer-focused US Coast Guard Captain to join our training staff. This position is part-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions:
Check in / Finalize with a tablet of vessels with members
Moving from docks to boats and vice versa, unstable & wet surfaces. Large drops (~4ft) down to vessels & back up to dock Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Handle minor member mishaps or incidents while maintaining friendly disposition
Red Carpet Level of Treatment to members and guests
Anticipate and address members' needs and thank guests with genuine appreciation
Communicating with potential members about FBC
Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to members
Professional communication with co-workers, corporate, and members

Required Qualifications:

Near Coastal Captain's License required
Boating experience in and around boats (operating boats)

Ability to adhere to all safety policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous instructor experience
Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets, electronics knowledge & utilization (Smartphone / tablet)

Ability to be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervised
Working Conditions:
Work outdoors and in various weather conditions for an extended period of time
