We are invested in helping you be the best you can be in and out of the water!Swim Instructor Job Description Reports to: Aquatics Supervisor/Assistant General Manager Description: SafeSplash Swim Instructors are responsible for upholding and teaching in accordance to the SafeSplash Swim School teaching certification and curriculum. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, positive manner. Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts. Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills. Ensure swimmer safety. Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start times. Provide Deck Supervisor with class information (ribbons, student changes, etc) to keep proper class organization. Provide customers with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during Splash ‘N Tell week. Maintain proper SafeSplash uniform standards outlined in employee handbook. Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned by management. Position Qualifications and Requirements: Previous swim instruction experience is required. Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant required. WSI certification preferred. Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs. Training in the SafeSplash curriculum will be provided. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight. Uniforms:Instructors are required to wear SafeSplash uniforms which include logoed female one piece suits and male board shorts. SafeSplash Swim School will cover 50% of the cost of one uniform per calendar year per employee. Additional uniforms must be purchased by the employee from SafeSplash Swim School at or below cost. The uniform must be maintained in a clean, professional manner. If at any time a supervisor determines an employee's uniform is inappropriate he/she may require the employee to purchase an additional uniform. If at any time a uniform is not being worn during assigned instructing hours a supervisor will ask you to put on your uniform. If no uniform is present you will be required to buy a new uniform or be sent home without pay. The Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute (OCII) Instructor has a pivotal role in advancing workforce development across the State of Oklahoma. Comprehensive educational programming will focus on upskilling, reskilling, and fostering a cybersecurity-ready workforce. By directly offering training and collaborating with partner entities, OCII seeks to empower learners of all ages, from K-12 students to adult professionals. Characteristic Duties: * Facilitate training for K-12 and adult learners working with a cyber range and conducting mobile/connected classes or bootcamps. * Craft and deliver OCII curriculum to a broad audience in different formats, including micro-credentialing, teach the teachers, and hands-on experiential labs. * Organize cybersecurity and computer science educational events, inviting industry professionals, educators, and policymakers which foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing. * Utilize mobile labs to transport general security, analyst, forensics, and penetration testing to public and private organizations across the state for in-person learning that will lead to certifications. Labs will provide hands-on security analysis experiences (e.g., industrial control system sandboxes, robots, IoT, and network firewalls), programming training, and access to software for experimentation. * Partner with businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits to understand the gaps in their cyber efforts, and offer specialized programming elements. * An expectation of the position is the ability to develop and update curriculum to reflect technological advancements, ensuring content is tied to State of Oklahoma standards.
