The Swim Instructor position is an integral part of the JCC Aquatics Department American Red Cross Learn To Swim program. Swim Instructors will be assigned to both group and private swim lessons. Our instructors will provide swimming and water safety instruction assistance to children and adults following the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim curriculum and guidelines. Duties & Responsibilities: Inform your supervisor of potentially dangerous situations. Follow program protocols for the evaluation and progress of Learn-To-Swim participants. Arrive to work on time and prepared to teach your lessons. Prepare well-designed lesson plans for each class session. Maintain notes on participants and ideas for future classes. Participate in regular in-service training sessions and meetings. During down time you are responsible for checking the bathrooms, trash, and deck for cleanliness. All other duties as assigned.
