ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and interpret geotechnical reports, foundation design criteria, and structural calculations to validate design assumptions and constructability. Perform design review and oversight for pier, pile, spread footing, and equipment pad foundations. Support foundation layout verification and tolerance checks during construction. Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure proper interface between foundations and racking, inverter skids, transformers, and structural supports. Provide technical feedback to foundation design engineers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Review and approve foundation submittals, material testing reports, and concrete mix designs. Conduct site visits to observe installation of drilled piers, driven piles, and concrete foundations for compliance with design intent. Assist with as-built verification and documentation for foundation systems. Lead root cause investigations of foundation nonconformances or performance issues. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a structural docus), or related discipline. Minimum 5+ years of experience in foundation or structural engineering for utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, or large-scale infrastructure projects. COMPETENCIES: Strong understanding of structural analysis, geotechnical interaction, and foundation design principles. Proficiency in interpreting structural drawings, rebar details, and foundation schedules. Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE, and ASTM standards. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
