* Ensures implementation of methods or procedures designed to identify, evaluate, and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors that could result in personal injury or illness, violations of safety and health codes or regulations, or property damage. Develops countermeasures to resolve problems identified by inspections, safety observations, investigations and accident trend analyses.
* Ensures compliance with regulations promulgated by regulatory agencies such as Cal/OSHA, federal OSHA, The Department of Transportation, and applicable consensus standards such as the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
* Ensures the occurrence of safety training of supervisors, managers, and hourly employees. Provides programs and instruction designed to give employees the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their job tasks safely, and carry out their safety responsibilities effectively.
* Investigates accidents to establish facts related to their causation, and obtain information useful in preventing recurrences of similar accidents. Reviews accident investigation reports prepared by supervisors or managers. Analyzes accident investigation reports to identify loss trends.
* Ensures the timely reporting of workers' compensation and liability claims to the appropriate Third Party Administrator (TPA). Coordinates and monitors the claims administration practices of the TPA to facilitate expedient and cost-effective resolution and closure of claims.
QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:
* Six years of experience in occupational safety program management.
* Principles of personnel training, supervision and evaluation.
* Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
* Technical and professional principals, practices, laws, applications and programs in position related area including state and federal safety regulations, general occupational safety and commercial vehicle safety management principles, state and federal workers' compensation laws and administrative procedures.
* Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
* Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.
* High school diploma or GED required.

General Summary

About this Role
FiberTel is looking for a Safety Coordinator for our San Jose, CA office.
The Safety Coordinator plans, organizes, implements, administrates, and evaluates the effectiveness of the safety program, both in the office and in the field, including telecom-specific industrial safety; occupational health and safety; traffic safety; and hazardous materials abatement and management to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations governed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA and Cal/OSHA) and compliance with applicable environmental requirements.

This role will implement EIG's environmental health and safety plan (EHSP) and related programs at assigned construction project(s). The Safety Manager will work closely with our project management team and our subcontractors to recognize and address potential hazards before they exist as well as ensure compliance with our EHSP utilizing behavior-based safety techniques. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities
Shepherd and develop career paths for Safety Coordinator(s).
Coach EIG team members on safety leadership and management practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and live EIG's injury-free environment culture.
Lead pre-qualification processes for EIG.
Provide trending analysis for project / regional data on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis.
Foster the development of safety programs and protocols.
Develop and blend site-specific safety plan(s) that incorporates both EIG's and our core market customers' safe work practices.
Assist with the continual development of new methods for abating hazards.

DPR Construction is seeking a safety manager, to be based in our (?) office. This individual will implement DPR's environmental health and safety plan (EHSP) and related programs at assigned construction project(s)/business units. The safety manager will work with our project management team and our subcontractors to recognize and address potential hazards before they exist and will ensure compliance with our EHSP utilizing behavior-based safety techniques. Lead and live DPR's injury-free environment culture.
Shepherd and develop career path safety coordinator(s).
Lead pre-qualification processes between DPR and its subcontractors.
Coach DPR/sub management on safety leadership and management practices.
Provide trending analysis for project/ regional data on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis.
Foster the development of safety programs and protocols.
Develop and blend site-specific safety plan(s) that incorporates both DPR's and our core market customers' safe work practices.
Assist with the continual development of new methods for abating hazards.
Perform regular jobsite safety audits of worksite activities. Share findings, corrective actions and corrective plans with DPR project management.
When necessary, DPR EHS should utilize every resource necessary, including escalation, to ensure the maintenance of an injury-free environment.
Help monitor the subcontractor selection process and adherence to established environmental safety and health guidelines.
Measure team engagement regarding safety management practices.
Administrative duties may include maintaining regional safety files such as safety training documentation, applicable medical certifications, environmental testing and special associated training, investigation reports including close calls, injury summaries, leading indicator data and other safety and health documentation.
Qualifications
We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:
Minimum 5 years' experience on construction sites.
OSHA 500 training.
Competent person, train-the-trainer, and other activity specific certifications.
Familiar with Microsoft office suite.
Oral and writing skills.
Degree in safety management or CHST certification a plus.
Manufacturing / pharmaceutical / OSHPD experience a plus.
Carpenter or laborer union affiliation okay.
Salary-based position.
Anticipated starting pay range:
$135,000.00- $175,000.00

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, direct, and enforce Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) on a single construction project, based on safety staffing requirements as defined by Headquarters (HQ) EH&S policy.
* Build working relationships with project teams to lead and direct assigned EH&S programs to implement cultural changes in safety practices.
* Assess project EH&S practices and known and potential safety related exposures, develop and implement action plans to mitigate risks and drive changes to improve project team safety awareness and activities.
* Communicate requirements for improving performance to project leadership and team to adopt and adhere to changes using job specific safety standards, best management practices, and EH&S policies and procedures.

* Develop reports to explain project safety performance and present findings at project meetings and to relevant stakeholders.
* Negotiate contracts with vendors for safety services, off-site occupational health facilities, and on-site wellness/medical services.
* Manage and mentor Project Safety team, align individual employee goals to project and company objectives, and may participate in hiring process and onboarding. Deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with development needs.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 120,000.00 - 180,000.00 USD annualized.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field of study, and minimum of ten (10) years of related construction safety experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST) certification required or within 6 months of appointment to this position.
* Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.

About this Role
The Safety Coordinator at Ampacity is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs across our clean energy projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between field operations, management, and safety personnel to ensure regulatory compliance, support safety culture development, and maintain the highest standards of workplace safety across our organization.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent with relevant safety training and certifications

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and incident investigation experience
Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and manage competing priorities across departments
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced construction environments

Typical Work Environment
Active solar construction sites with heavy machinery, power tools, and construction equipment in operation.
100% outdoor work environment subject to extreme weather conditions including snow and high heat, with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and uneven terrain.
Work at various heights requiring fall protection equipment.
Position may require unexpected travel and relocation to project sites with short notice.
Physical Expectations
This work is physically demanding in nature and requires constant lifting of 30 - 50 pounds, unassisted, with lifts of 50+ pounds requiring assistance.
Working schedule will be 8 - 10 hours a day and 5 - 6 days a week (weather permitting).
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods while operating tools and equipment safely.
