Chief Strategy Officer

As chief of staff, Bill Boyd is responsible for planning and directing various operational, financial, administrative and strategic activities for Symbotic. Bill has more than 12 years of extensive distribution and logistics industry experience. Prior to joining Symbotic in early 2020, he was on the executive team at Imperial Dade, a multi-billion dollar distribution company with responsibility for numerous administrative and legal functions as well as new business development. Bill also held the role of chief legal officer at C&S Wholesale Grocers, the largest wholesale grocery supply company is the U.S for more than 10 years, and in that role, Bill was involved in the initial investment by Rick Cohen in Casepick Systems which later became Symbotic. Before that, Bill was senior vice president, business affairs for Athlete’s Performance, Inc., a globally recognized leader in the provision of performance training to professional and elite athletes.

Bill has served on the board of numerous non-profit associations, including the Board of Directors of C&S Charities, Inc., an organization that, among other things, sponsors an annual golf event to raise money in support of Dana Farber and other charitable organizations that provide the best cancer treatment available, research for tomorrow’s cures or work to alleviate childhood hunger.

Bill has a diverse educational background, with a J.D. from Duke University, M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.A. in both History and Psychology from Williams College.

Tom Ernst

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Tom Ernst manages the financial functions within Symbotic. He has more than 20 years of extensive finance, leadership and software industry experience. Tom loves to tackle big challenges and lead teams of people to creative and impactful solutions.

Prior to joining Symbotic in September 2020, Tom served as CFO of RealPage where he led all accounting, finance, treasury, legal, M&A, and strategic project management operations.

Tom founded a strategy management consultancy in 2015. He led senior consultants and junior teams in advising public software companies on market positioning, developing an innovative and effective company culture, mergers and

acquisitions, and strategic communications. He has eighteen years of software industry finance experience in equity research and investment banking. He also led the Goldman Sachs Software Investment Banking Team globally and the Deutsche Bank Software U.S. Equity Research Team.

Tom served as a Nuclear Engineer and Submarine Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy for five years on a fast attack submarine, and two years as the Military Training Department Head for the U.S. Navy boot camp. Tom earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth and his BS from the University of Minnesota.

George Dramalis

Chief Information Officer

As chief information officer, George Dramalis is responsible for managing all of Symbotic’s strategic information and technology services and procedures leading to outcomes that align with the company’s business goals.

George joined Symbotic in early 2020, and he brings over 20 years of experience in information services management. George has extensive industry experience, and prior to joining Symbotic, he was chief information officer at C&S Wholesale Grocers, the largest wholesale grocery supply company is the U.S. Before that, he was vice president and chief information officer at Sharp Electronics Corporation. Prior to Sharp, George worked for KPMG Consulting as a manager of systems implementation supporting clients such as Compaq, Deutche Banke, Kodak, Tyson Foods and US Cellular.

George has a MA in Economics and a MA in Finance from Webster University Geneva, Switzerland
