Summary:
Responsible for the specification, design and development of cryogenic liquid & process gas transfer systems. Provide welding, brazing, and fabricating process expertise for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Reinforce corporate commitment to safety and environmental awareness;
Interpret customer requirements into detailed specifications sufficient to develop products including cryogenic liquid transfer systems;
Produce detailed design of systems and/or components, including design for manufacturability;
Develop analytical models of system design and produce testing protocols sufficient to validate model;
Identify problem root causes, develop & implement solutions related to products and processes;
Evaluate and recommend components for conformance to design specifications;
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, product changes, manufacturing capabilities and project status.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Mechanical Product Engineering Intern
Role Overview:
As a member of the Mechanical Product team, the Mechanical Product Engineer Intern will work alongside experienced engineers providing mentoring, guidance, and introductions to colleagues.
This Internship with MACOM will help the Intern to gain valuable work experience in a key discipline, build professional relationships, and take ownership of a business-critical project. The intern will work with senior level engineers in the designing, building, testing, and evaluation of fixtures for RF microwave component manufacturing and test. The candidate will gain experience in SolidWorks, 3D printing, fixture design, fabrication, and test.
During the 12 weeks each Intern will:

Mechanical Engineering Intern
Looking for a Mechanical or Manufacturing focused student who will work with Senior level Engineers in the building, testing, and evaluation of RF microwave components, designing fixtures for Assy and Test for production engineering.
