What we need
Symbotic is seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Management expert to design and deliver the processes, tools, and insights that strengthen Symbotic's talent ecosystem. This role leads enterprise performance management and careers for both field and corporate populations and serves as the organization's subject matter expert on performance strategy, design, and execution. The Senior Manager partners closely with business and HR leaders to reinforce leadership behaviors, enable career growth and internal mobility, and ensure data-driven, validated approaches to assessing and developing talent. This role plays a critical part in building the systems and mindsets that accelerate performance and prepare Symbotic for future growth.
What you'll do
* Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of Symbotic's enterprise performance management process, ensuring clear alignment between performance, potential, and business outcomes.
* Serve as the organization's expert in performance management, including calibration, goal setting, feedback, and performance differentiation.
* Partner with leaders and HR Business Partners to embed and reinforce leadership behaviors that reflect Symbotic's high performance culture.
* Collaborate with the Compensation team to align performance outcomes with rewards, recognition, and career progression.
* Partner with HRIS to optimize Workday functionality for performance and development, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
* Design and deliver training, communications, and toolkits to strengthen leader capability in coaching, feedback, and performance conversations.
* May support validation and analytics to evaluate process effectiveness.
* Support career and internal mobility initiatives, defining frameworks and criteria for advancement across roles and functions.
* Contribute to talent planning and succession management, integrating performance and potential insights to inform leadership and capability discussions.
* Stay current on industry trends, research, and legal requirements in performance management and organizational development to inform best practices.
What you'll need
* Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, or related HR disciplines, including direct ownership of a company-wide performance management process.
* Advanced degree is strongly preferred (Master's or PhD) in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
* Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing validated, data-informed performance and assessment frameworks.
* Experience working in complex, high-growth, or matrixed organizations, ideally within technology, robotics, or manufacturing sectors.
* Proven success leveraging Workday or comparable systems to enable scalable, integrated talent processes. Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with measurable impact.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill data into clear stories and targeted recommendations.

About the Opportunities
Symbotic's Machine Learning team is an accomplished group of engineers who are working on sophisticated algorithms in areas such as routing, perception, and computer vision.
* Routing interns will develop algorithms to boost efficiency in a multi-agent system while ensuring scalable software deployment and adherence to production standards.
* Perception and Computer Vision interns will evaluate and propose new projects for replacing legacy tools with vision-based algorithms. These interns will scope projects from literature review, to dataset design and aggregation, training pipeline development, all the way through production deployment. What we do

The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical, electrical, or robotics engineering, with hands-on experience in machinery design, integration, and safety compliance.

What we do
The Symbotic Information Security team leads the effort to manage information security risk. Our team assesses, designs, implements, and maintains security controls to ensure compliance with our organization's IT general controls framework. What you'll do
* Monitor and analyze networks, endpoints, and applications for security threats and anomalous activity.
* Investigate and resolve security alerts, escalations, and incidents within defined service levels.

What we do
The Vision and Robotics team is dedicated to developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced vision and robotics solutions for our warehouse automation systems. By leveraging our inbound and outbound adapter cells-which connect the storage structure and handle tasks such as depalletizing, singulating cases, and palletizing shipments-we ensure efficient processing and seamless integration with our autonomous robots (Symbots) and AI-powered software. The adapter cells hand over cases to the Symbots, who then place the cases into the storage structure and retrieve them when needed for palletization. Our proven track record in industrial vision and robotics system development, combined with best engineering practices, allows us to continuously push the limits of warehouse automation technology.
What you'll do
