Symphony company history timeline

1997

In 1997, Hartman’s son, David, joined the Symphony family, eventually working his way up from housekeeping to building administration to (current) CEO.

2000

In August 2000, shares in the Company were first publicly traded following admission to the Ofex market.

2001

In November 2001, its shares were admitted to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange, with an open offer of shares to the public.

Just like the financial services industry, our firm has rapidly grown and evolved since our founding in 2001.

2003

In June 2003, Symphony developed its own additive which has since then been sold under the "d2w®" trademark.

2008

In April 2008 a consortium of companies, of which Symphony Energy Ltd is the lead partner, was awarded a UK Government grant for research and development in the area of high value manufacturing relating to a rubber product enhanced recovery technology project, the "RµPERT" project.

Then, in 2008, Symphony began exploring a new concept called “transitional care” that combined the short-term needs of recovery with the resort feel of a hotel stay.

In 2008 Symphony introduced coolers with power saving technology.

2009

In August 2009, Symphony launched d2p antimicrobial technology.

In 2009 Symphony acquired IMPCO (North America). Under Symphony IMPCO expanded its product line with Symphony portable coolers which were highly accepted in the Mexican market and made IMPCO the company which offered the widest variety of evaporative air coolers.

2010

In 2010 Symphony introduced central air cooling solutions.

2012

In 2012 Symphony introduced the Intelligent Cooler range.

2013

On 11 November 2013 Symphony announced that it has tied up with Carrefour in Indonesia for selling Symphony Air coolers through a local distributor.

2014

On 4 September 2014 Symphony announced that it has decided to set up an additional unit at Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Kandla Gujarat.

On 3 November 2014 Symphony announced that its subsidiary Impco S.de.

In 2014 Symphony introduced a range of window coolers with sun resistant body.

2015

Another first initiative by Symphony is to define the cooling capacity of air coolers in tons of cooling as in air-conditioning.On 13 August 2015 Symphony signed an equity transfer agreement (ETA) with shareholders of Munters Keruilai Air Treatment Equipment (Guangdong) Co.

2018

In 2014 Symphony introduced a range of window coolers with sun resistant body. It therefore combines the best attributes of air-coolers with that of air-conditioners.On 22 June 2018 Symphony entered into a Share Sale Agreement to effectively purchase 95% equity stake in Climate Technologies Pty Limited Australia through a newly incorporated Subsidiary Company viz.

At 1.79 million, demat accounts opened in June fewest since Feb 2021

2022

Glance user base grows by 30% YoY to reach 183 million in Q1 2022
