Position Summary
The Quality Technician reports to the Quality Manager and supports all daily Quality lab activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Quality pre-production checks, in process sampling and testing, Food safety program support, instrument checks, as well as testing and release of raw materials and finished goods.
Essential duties and responsibilities
* Supports ongoing compliance to food GMP regulations (21 CFR 110), 3rd party quality and food safety certification requirements.
* Supports all activities related to providing Production with input/support in the processing of products.
* Responsible for test equipment checks, lab safety, QC analysis, 3rd party sample submission and data communication.
* Supports food safety programs, Quality Complaint root cause investigations and site quality system audits.
Note: This position is projected to work at least 45 hours per week. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday but will also be required to work 1 Saturday per month.
Required Qualifications
* Associate's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science or related discipline. Bachelor degree preferred.
* Minimum of three years' experience working in QA/QC. Experience within food manufacturing is desired.
* Must be willing and able to obtain HACCP and PCQI certification within the first 6 months of employment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
* Ability to work at least 45 hours per week along with the flexibility to work 1 Saturday per month.
* Experience with GMP regulations is preferred.
* HACCP and/or PCQI certification are a plus.
* SQF Practitioner certification is an advantage.

Position Summary
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist (F&B) will be responsible to independently provide Symrise Inc. customers with product safety/regulatory information in accordance with US FDA / FEMA guidelines, customer specific guidelines, and various international regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Independently prepare customer documentation to satisfy customer requests. This function requires knowledge of specific customer and US FDA Food/Flavor & State Regulations. Specific documents include: Natural Certification, FDA/FEMA-GRAS Certifications, Allergen Letters, Food Grade Certifications, GMO Certification, Continuing Food Guarantee, Country of Origin Certifications, Customer Questionnaires, Nutritional, Organic, Country Permissibility and other appropriate documents.
* The Regulatory Affairs Specialist may provide support to the retrieval of revenue paid for the use of tax paid Distilled spirits in finished product materials and support other TTB related activities.
* Provide support to Customs, and USMCA requirements for Symrise, prepare USMCA certifications, and identify harmonized Tariff Numbers for Symrise products.
* Support the Management in other regulatory tasks, including special projects. Identify areas of improvement and increased efficiency.
* Collaborate with Business Support, Production, Quality Control and Affiliates to satisfy customer requests.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor degree in Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology, Chemistry or other related science.
* 3 to 5 years of regulatory experience within the flavor and/or food industry.
* Must have detailed knowledge in regulatory issues and interpretation of regulations and legal affairs.
* US FDA regulation experience and familiarity with allergen list required.
* USDA Labeling experience is highly desired.
* Experience with TTB regulation, organic certification, organic audits, and/or DMF are an advantage.
Skills and Abilities:
* Must be skilled in analytical thinking, highly organized, well equipped for changing tasks, and an independent worker.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in computer knowledge, including database management, spreadsheet creation, and internet navigation skills, and scientific/technical writing skills.

In this role, you will be responsible to set the direction, lead implementation and ensure compliance with BASF and regulatory process safety requirements such as OSHA PSM. In this role, you will serve as the Process Safety expert for the Greenville ECP Coatings facility as well as coordinate alignment with EC global to ensure all required process safety requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.

As the EHS Engineering & Design Support Manager you will act as the primary point of contact for all EHS matters within capex projects, potentially ranging from the installation of a piece of plant to the design and construction of a green-field site.

Objective
Plan, designs, and coordinates capital projects for lab equipment, facility renovations, mechanical equipment updates, and utility support. **Your day-to-day:**
+ Troubleshooting operations problems, order repair parts, manage the work order backlog, perform long-range and short-term planning of in-house and contractor labor, as well as cost estimating.

+ Planning and scheduling the annual turnarounds of the various production plants. You will also use these skills to coordinate all resources from repair parts to contract labor to rental equipment.

You will ensure GFI is well-positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core lists; manage large commercial projects in collaboration with GFI Commercial innovation; assume the lead role for all GFI activities for designated ac-counts; cultivate customer relationships with decision-makers, positioning GFI as preferred "go-to" supplier for the customer's needs;

You will communicate strategic account plans, sales forecasts, and budget for important accounts, with clear Indicators; defend the base business in markets and with customers.

Your professional profile includes:
* University degree, preference for Food Science
* 8+ years successful sales or customer relationship experience in the food or food ingredients industry
* Fluency in English & Native German is required;

* Understanding of customer strategy, programs, priorities, launch processes, and how to position GFI's offerings
