Job Description
Synectics for Management Decisions (SMDI) is seeking an Alteryx Engineer to join their growing team. The qualified applicant will perform complex analysis, design, development, and unit testing of software applications and play a key role in the DW cloud migration as part of the Enterprise Data Analytics and Services program for a large federal agency in Alexandria, VA.
• Design, develop, validate, and troubleshoot the ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx for analysis, forecasting, and report delivery and update the current SAS DI studio jobs to migrate the data to the cloud using Alteryx.
• Design and develop workflows consuming and publishing to API endpoints
• Create and update documentation like best practices, technical specifications, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, and design documents
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automate manual processes, optimizing data delivery process, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Guide in implementing the cloud migration architecture, strategy, and roadmap
• Write complex SQL queries with multiple joins to automate/manipulate these extracts in Alteryx
• Create Alteryx related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Configure and manage project permissions provide periodic reports on Alteryx and Server usage
• Document and Publish Alteryx workbooks and data extracts/ Alteryx workflows/ apps/macros
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT industry and focus on data
• Minimum 3 years of related experience with Alteryx. Certification preferred.
• Hands-on skills and work experience in Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and the tools with Alteryx such as Parsing, Transforms and Predictive
• Scripting knowledge & experience (Shell scripts, Python, PowerShell)
• Good understanding of design, development, unit testing, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, software release and change management
• Good understanding of data models and data warehousing
• Good working knowledge of AWS Services including Compute, Storage Networking, Database, Management tools, Security, Identity and Compliance
• Experience with other ETL tools a plus (SAS DI Studio, Informatica, AWS Glue & Talend)
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

Synectics for Management Decisions (SMDI) is seeking an AWS Engineer to join their growing team. The qualified applicant will become part of the Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence services (DWBI) project for a large federal agency in Alexandria, VA.
AWS Engineer is responsible for development and support of cloud-based solutions. Solutions include moving assets from on-premise to cloud environment, evaluation and optimization. AWS Engineer will collaborate and work as a team to ensure the success of the team.
Responsibilities/Duties
Advise engineering and software engineering team as they migrate from on-premise to cloud infrastructure
Optimize cloud workloads for cost, scalability, availability, governance, compliance, etc.
Guide and/or provide hands-on support to administer production, staging, and deployment environments
Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to teams to understand requirements and plan architecture and solutions
Apply insight and expertise across AWS services
Apply knowledge of scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
Qualifications
Good working knowledge of AWS Services including Compute, Storage Networking, Database, Management tools, Security, Identity and Compliance

Solution Design & Advisory

Ensure solution designs comply with DoD and IC security frameworks, including CMMC 2.0, Zero Trust principles, RMF, FedRAMP High, IL5/6, and higher levels of security domains.
Partner with engineering and delivery teams to support prototypes, demonstrations, and proofs of concept that illustrate tangible mission benefits.
Market Development & Thought Leadership
Support capture and proposal efforts through technical expertise, solution scoping, and mission-aligned narratives.
Represent SAP NS2 at defense and intelligence forums, workshops, and industry events, communicating how SAP's enterprise solutions drive mission outcomes.
Track DoD/IC digital transformation initiatives and enterprise resource modernization programs (e.g., defense financial management, logistics systems, and enterprise data environments).
Proactively and collaboratively navigate federal procurement and operational environments across multiple security classification domains.
Internal Collaboration
Collaborate closely with SAP and SAP NS2 product, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure proposed architectures meet mission, performance, and security needs.
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to refine SAP NS2's federal go-to-market and product strategies.
Requirements/Must Haves:
8-10 years of experience in enterprise technology solutioning within DoD or IC mission environments, specifically within digital transformation, data analytics, or cloud modernization within the defense sector.
Understanding of defense acquisition, financial management, logistics, and supply chain processes within federal environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Active U.S. Secret security clearance (TS/SCI with CI Polygraph preferred). Must be clearable up to a polygraph clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise with SAP Business Suite, specifically with S/4HANA and its integration with SAP BTP, Analytics Cloud, or legacy ECC systems.
Experience delivering S/4HANA migration or brownfield/greenfield ERP modernization projects within regulated or classified environments.
Knowledge of DoD and IC enterprise business systems.
Familiarity with FedRAMP, ITAR, DFARS, and other defense compliance frameworks.

Ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed teams.

Job Summary:
The Senior Partner Solution Advisor is responsible for helping to drive SAP NS2's strategic partner relationships. What you'll do:
The SAP Technical Architect will lead activities across multiple technical domains for SAP NS2's largest and most strategic customers' innovation and digital transformation initiatives. You'll possess a good understanding of Public Sector, Regulated Industries customers and the specific needs within Federal, Defense and Aerospace verticals. You'll prepare and conduct customer workshops to analyze a customer's “as-is” situation, identify challenges and opportunities, and translate findings into transition and target state architectures.
The SAP Technical Architect will collaborate with SAP Functional and Enterprise Architects and the SAP Engagement Lead on project deliveries, including heatmaps, roadmaps, and technical architectures. Liaise with SMEs from other SAP organizations to address engagement requirements such as product capabilities, gaps, or roadmaps, as well as incident support. Collaborate with SAP Premium Engagement and SAP National Security Services to ensure alignment on project deliverables and service delivery.
Drive the design, implementation, and oversight of SAP solutions' technical architecture.
Required areas of expertise:
Infrastructure and Cloud Architecture: Proficiency in cloud and on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud migration. Knowledge of cloud platforms (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure), hybrid architecture models, and SAP Basis administration.
Cloud Architecture and SaaS: In-depth knowledge of cloud strategies, including SAP Business Technology Platform and cloud-to-cloud integrations. Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and hybrid cloud solutions, as well as cloud security practices. Solid understanding of SAP's Cloud and Service strategies like S/4HANA Private vs. Public Cloud, SAP RISE, and SAP Grow.
Technical Strategy and Governance: Strategic alignment with business objectives, technology governance, and roadmap planning. Ability to assess, prioritize, and guide SAP investments and transformations to align with business goals.
Integration Architecture: Designing and managing seamless integration across SAP and non-SAP systems. Strong understanding of moving customers from SAP Process Integration (PI), Process Orchestration (PO), APIs, and middleware technologies to SAP Integration Suite, Familiar with SAP's ISA-M methodology.
Data Architecture and Management: Reporting and analytics, data modeling, master data management and governance, and data quality. Expertise in SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP MDG, data lakes, and data warehousing principles.
Application Development: Understanding of the SAP Clean Core paradigm, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, ABAP, and customization within SAP's development framework. Proficiency in SAP development tools (e.g., Web IDE, Eclipse), extension concepts, and methodologies such as DevOps and CI/CD.
Security and Compliance: Knowledge of SAP security architecture, identity and access management, and compliance standards. Expertise in SAP GRC, SAP Identity Management, data encryption, access controls, and compliance with GDPR and other regulatory standards.
Application Lifecycle Management: Proficiency in SAP's ALM solutions, such as SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, and Focused Build for SAP Solution Manager. **Key Responsibilities include:**
**Customer Engagement & Strategy**
+ Serve as a trusted advisor on how SAP's Business Suite can enable digital transformation, operational efficiency, and mission readiness within DoD and IC organizations.

**Requirements/Must Haves** :

* Advise the Customer on solution operations to support business continuity
* Leads Premium Engagement Steering Meeting to align and report SAP's involvement and activities at the customer.
* Maintains and updates an accurate view of PE Time Actuals/Revenue forecasting (TQM, Expert Service Days and/or Expert On-Demand Days) on a weekly basis in NS2 financials (ECC).
* Identifies opportunities for developing the Premium Engagement.
* Manages the PE Customer engagement service plan and works with Customer and SAP Center of Expertise (CoE) to plan, schedule, and deliver on committed days/services
* Participates and contributes to SAP Virtual Account Team (VAT) meetings to stay informed of Customer environment, opportunities, and issues/challenges
* Takes a proactive approach to managing PE engagement plan and services at Customer, and is the primary Point of Contact for managing Customer escalations; during and outside of normal business hours, as required
* Works with NS2 Secure Support and the PE Backoffice, including Mission Control Center (MCC) to resolve customer tickets and/or other related incidents identified on the engagement
* Prepares and submits weekly status PE status reports to Customer and NS2 PE Shared Mailbox
* Drives Engagement Planning to ensure SAP's involvement in relevant areas and initiatives at the customer.
* Manages stakeholders on a continuous basis to establish a long-term, trusted customer relationship.
* Identifies risks to avoid harm to customer's business.
* Directly advises the customer to provide guidance and to be regarded as trusted advisor.
* Ensure quality of outcome reporting to demonstrate the value of the engagement to the customer.

Work and Education Experience:

The SAP NS2 Security and GRC Consultant candidate will be responsible for leading our security and controls team in delivery and maintenance of solutions that meet our client's complex needs. The candidate should be an experienced manager who still does hands-on work and has the necessary knowledge of SAP/other ERP software and GRC to effectively work with minimal supervision. Candidates should have knowledge or previous work experience in managing SAP/or other ERP software and GRC tools in a cloud environment, understanding the complexities that come with cloud, and can effectively communicate cloud security design/architecture ideas to technical as well as non-technical client stakeholders. This is a full-time position, and due to security requirements is on-site only.
**Skills/Experience Requirements**
+ 5-8 years' experience **managing** SAP/other enterprise software application security and SAP/other enterprise software GRC Access Control for the client's SAP landscape, from development up to production.
+ Ability to design, configure, develop, and maintain SAP/other enterprise software roles (composite and single) to align with business requirements.
+ Participate in role redesign projects during upgrades or business transformations.
+ Deep understanding of SAP/other enterprise software authorization concepts catering to SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA systems, and SAP GRC Access Control (10.x and 12.x).
+ Experience in Security/GRC implementation and maintenance, to include minor enhancements as well as support pack/version upgrades.
+ Extensive hands-on experience with GRC master data creation and maintenance, performing risk analysis and remediation activities, batch job monitoring, audit & compliance support activities (user management controls, access certification, etc.), and BRF and MSMP workflows.
+ Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot security access issues, interacting with key functional/business stakeholders as necessary in order to resolve SAP/other enterprise software Security/GRC errors/exceptions.
+ Keeps oneself constantly abreast of the latest advancements on SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, and other emerging security authorization concepts.
+ Knows the risks associated with enterprise application security vulnerabilities, and proposes solutions to eliminate and/or mitigate those risks.
+ Understanding of NIST, SOX, SOD, and SAP IT General Computer Controls, how these compliance requirements impact security, and provide solutions to address them.
+ Support, develop, and enable junior team members.
+ Provide SAP security technical training to client counterparts, as needed.
**Additional Requirements**
+ BA/BS Degree, ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology or related field- OR equivalent hands-on experience.
