Cons of working at Synovus

Avoid working here if at all possible. If you must work for Synovus then at least stay away from Atlanta Loan Operations, spare yourself the headache, you are literally better off working at Wal-mart. Grab a soda and popcorn because we are going to be here a while. I started as a temp in 2016. I was guaranteed a permanent position if I worked hard and at least met my goals. A friend of mine was a temp here too and was told the same thing. We both exceeded our goals and were top performers. We did everything they asked and yet they never hired us due to “lack of experience”, which is a fancy way of saying that they are too lazy to train. Time and again we were passed up for someone outside the company. Those should’ve been red flags but we ignored them because we wanted to work for this bank so badly. My friend was on another team that was ran by an idiot who had control issues and may have been racist, but I’m going to say allegedly because there isn’t enough proof to back that up. Another red flag was the fact that that particular manager would fire any and everyone for the smallest reasons and without mercy. One gentleman nodded off at work accidentally due to the meds he took due to an auto accident, and without warning or compassion he was fired immediately. But the messed up part about that situation was that she had a gentleman (also a temp) on her team who was constantly falling asleep and making errors, but she kept him on board. More on that guy later. Eventually I got moved to another team as a temp and so was my friend. My friend and I were top performers on our new teams as well and while I was able to get a permanent position, my friend wasn’t. The person that ran her team was an idiot too. When Synovus abruptly cancelled the temp contracts and went with a different temp agency, all temps were let go including my friend. She applied for permanent positions for both teams she worked and was turned down. The first team she worked for turned her down for the guy that constantly fell asleep, and hired him at a higher level, as of now, this guy is a team lead. The second team turned her down because the manager didn’t like her due to her being quiet in nature. She claimed it was due to lack of experience, but the other candidate had the same amount of experience. Needless to say, she was jobless for a month and a half. The first team eventually reluctantly hired her but at a lower level with less pay. Again she was a top performer but that didn’t m
