ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transports pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
Replenishes pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
Performs operations and safety check, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
Records all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks.
Follows safety policies and practices at all times.

Mechanics will also be responsible for the documentation, completion, and to keep current the maintenance logs for all repairs and parts used daily. The position will be required to perform road rescue as needed.
**This application is only available to active-duty service members eligible to participate in a DoD SkillBridge Internship. The service member must be within the last 12 months of their active-duty contract.** **This is an unpaid, non-benefit eligible internship position in partnership with the DoD SkillBridge program.**
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability.
Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the Shop Fax system.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have (3) years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic or a combination of both; or (2) years verifiable hands-on experience with either Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification or both.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
CDL A and DOT certified preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.

* Builds a strong procurement and logistics operations network with the Logistics Procurement and Logistics Operations teams in the four business segments - NAM, International Personal Care, International Family Care & Professional and Enterprise Markets.
Strategic category Management and Execution
* Procurement interface with the Transportation and Warehousing stakeholders within each Business Segment and into Global Supply Chain Logistics.
* Develop global category strategy and execution plan; assess supplier landscape and category trends by sourcing and leveraging data & analytics in the Transportation and Warehousing Categories.
* Collaborate with Segment Transportation and Warehousing Operations leaders on joint strategies to identify and prioritize procurement and operational initiatives.
* Identify and manage execution of strategic category initiatives (e.g., stakeholder engagement, supplier-driven innovation) by working closely with business segment procurement and supply chain teams.
* Manage cross-regional engagement with business stakeholders on Transportation and Logistics
Strategic Negotiations and Supplier relationship management
* Support strategic sourcing events & negotiations; work with Agile Squads
* Develop & manage global supplier relationships in collaboration with business leaders (e.g., supplier scouting, raise supply risks / issues from Operations / Planning, provide feedback on supplier performance).
* Stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in the global Transportation & Warehousing categories, using these to build and develop the medium - long term category strategy.
* Risk Management, Contracting and Process Compliance per defined internal controls and policies, standardizing globally as appropriate.
