Job Responsibilities
This position will involve developing and coordinating functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade. You will review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
Additional Responsibilities:
Write and administer Commissioning Plans, and Systems Manuals consistent with Syska format
Participate in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
Assist senior commissioning engineer or project manager in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, staffing requirements, and project budgets
Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, your experience would include commissioning or designing of large Mechanical systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes, or laboratory clean rooms. Your technical strengths must be complemented by self-motivation, relationship building skills, and effective communication skills.
Commissioning Engineer requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or required years of experience, including commissioning of large distribution systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes, or laboratory type facilities.
A minimum of 7 years field experience in hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of large Electrical or Mechanical systems
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the MEP field
Possesses basic understanding of proper system selection
Exhibits basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principals to building designs
Exhibits thorough understanding of applicable codes
Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO-Cx procedures and protocols,

HDR is hiring a Senior Bridge CAD Designer to work in our Tampa, FL office.
Primary Responsibilities
* Prepare technical drawings for bridge design projects using a keen understanding of geometry and structure components along with direction provided by structural team members
* Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms.
* Works closely with design originators, preparing drawings or computer models of complex or original designs that include multiple views and detailed drawings
* Produces complete BDR level preliminary designs with minimum or no supervision from the engineer on a project.
* Works from sketches, computer models and verbal information supplied by an engineer or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.
* Select required information from computer programs, manufacturers' catalogs and technical guides.
* Mentors and trains less experienced CADD personnel training and may lead a small to medium team to deliver on commitments.
* Provide advice on unusually difficult problems.
* May occasionally interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details
* May serve as coordinator and planner for large and complex drafting projects.
* Responsible for organizing assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
* Understands reference/model file concept for preparation of construction drawing packages.
* Manipulates multiple reference/model files to prepare specific discipline plan drawing and section/details.
* Ensures the proper filing of drawings.
* Cross divisional relationships are expected to be developed to provide interoffice execution support with general supervision.
* Plan checking for conformance to standards.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of MicroStation Connect and Open Bridge Modeler (OBM)
* Knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus

The Construction Inspector will provide quality assurance to ensure that the construction performed on the project is per the requirements in the Contract Documents. HDR is hiring a Natural Resources Specialist 2 to join our inclusive, diverse, and highly collaborative environmental team. This position will be based out of any of the following Florida offices: Tampa, Sarasota, or Orlando. Candidates that strive for excellence in their day-to-day work, scientific practice, and careers, as well as those individuals that are interested in continuing to expand their scientific knowledge through collaboration and continued learning, will integrate nicely into our environmental practice. While the focus of this role is to lead wetland delineations, species surveys, benthic surveys, seagrass surveys, and associated regulatory permitting, biologists on our team have the opportunity to crosswalk all facets of project delivery including botany, fisheries, and NEPA.
Our team spends time in the field and in front of a computer throughout the year. Field work includes wetland and other surface waters delineations, floristic surveys, benthic surveys, seagrass surveys, and wildlife surveys that are performed to support impact assessments, impact avoidance, regulatory permitting efforts, and pre- and post-construction compliance. When we are at our computers, we perform desktop surveys, analyze the data collected in the field and use those data to prepare natural resource reports, mitigation and monitoring plans, regulatory permit applications, and other technical papers as needed. This individual will work closely with our project and task leads to meet the environmental needs of our internal and external clients (project managers).
In the role of Natural Resources Specialist 2, we'll count on you to
* Work on a wide variety of environmental compliance and natural resources projects as they relate to water resources, transportation and development projects
* Work under the supervision of mid-level and senior environmental scientist and water resource engineers
* Take responsibility for assisting with environmental permits, NEPA documentation, biological assessments and other environmental compliance documentation
* Assist senior and mid-level scientists in field work associated with the collection of natural resource data
* Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
* BS or MS degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field

HDR is looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our inclusive, diverse, and highly collaborative environmental team. This position will be based out of any of the following Florida offices: Tampa, Sarasota, or Orlando. This individual must be an exceptional senior level environmental scientist and have expansive environmental permitting experience. While we work with a variety of clients from power, transportation, to water, with a range of complexity, candidates with extensive experience obtaining environmental permits for ports projects are preferred. Candidates that strive for excellence in their day-to-day work, scientific practice, and careers; as well as those individuals that are interested in continuing to expand their scientific knowledge through collaboration and continued learning will integrate nicely into our environmental practice. While the focus of this role is to lead benthic surveys, seagrass surveys, wetland delineations, species surveys, and associated regulatory permitting, biologists on our team have the opportunity to crosswalk all facets of project delivery including botany, fisheries, and NEPA.
Our team spends time in the field and in front of a computer throughout the year. Field work includes benthic surveys, seagrass surveys, wetland and other surface waters delineations, habitat surveys, and wildlife surveys that are performed to support impact assessments, impact avoidance, regulatory permitting efforts, and pre- and post-construction compliance. When we are at our computers, we perform desktop surveys, analyze the data collected in the field and use those data to prepare natural resource reports, mitigation and monitoring plans, regulatory permit applications, and other technical papers as needed. As a Senior Marine Environmental Scientist, this individual would be a primary point of contact for our internal and external Ports and Maritime clients (project managers).
This position involves supporting market needs and client-focused solutions, including support of client management efforts, as well as strategic thinking to expand our Environmental practice in the Florida/Puerto Rico area. Responsibilities will include managing environmental projects and tasks in the state, identifying client opportunities, supporting major proposal efforts and mentoring and training staff. The position may also include functioning as an environmental team leader through supervising mid- to junior-level environmental staff.
On a day-to-day basis, we'll count on you to:

We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Summer Intern to join our Tampa, FL office.

As an intern, you will support our engineering teams working towards our designs that are inspiring, demanding and highly collaborative. You will learn from others, and they will expect to learn from you. You will share in the responsibility, rewards, and recognition of producing truly innovative solutions and complete client satisfaction. The pace is fast and the camaraderie is close.
Some responsibilities include:
Assist engineers in preparing design documentation
Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Electrical systems
Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Electrical systems
Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe
Attend intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions
Our interns will also be part of our intern education program, which consists of informational lunch-and-learn sessions that are attended by firm-wide interns. These sessions consist of various topics in our business. Interns are encouraged and expected to attend these sessions as such is crucial to their development.
Internship Requirements
The ideal candidate will enjoy a team environment and also flexible enough to work independently where needed. Candidates for this role will be eager to expand their knowledge by challenging themselves and using the highly technical resources around them.
Additional job requirements:
Pursing a bachelor's degree from accredited university in Electrical engineering
Must be at a minimum, completed your second year
Previous engineering internship or co-op experience a huge plus
Knowledge in the latest version of MEP AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus
Basic knowledge in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite
