Our client's Molten Chloride Fast Reactor (MCFR) project is commercializing the technology to operate a fast-spectrum, chloride salt cooled molten salt reactor. Our client and its partners are building on the foundation of the MCFR technology development program, including chloride salt separate effects tests, the MCFR Integrated Effects Test (IET), and the progress on the Molten Chloride Reactor Experiment (MCRE) project. The material fuel form and operational modes of a fast-spectrum, molten salt reactor, such as the MCFR, are outside the basis of established safeguards approaches. The material in a MCFR plant is continuously flowing and continuously changing composition due to breeding, depletion, and fuel salt polishing. Traditional item counting is not possible for MCFR reactors because the fuel salt is not quantized in discrete form. WORK ENVIRONMENT: + This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. + The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require. Job Title: Quality Lab Associate Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay Rate: $20-$22/hr Type: 6 Month Contract + Support implementing PCR testing across multiple sites for expiration date verification + Review data from various labs to compare PCR results with other expiration date verification + Process and prepare samples for external testing/projects + Log results from external laboratories into databases + Review current methodology and make updates as appropriate + Aid in other microbiology projects as needed Requirements: + Bachelor's degree required; science focus preferred + Experience and familiarity with PCR testing System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
