Senior Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, an employee in this class performs professional engineering work in preparing or reviewing estimates, specifications and plans for the construction, alteration or reconstruction of electrical systems in County buildings, bridges or related projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Supervises and participates in the preparation of plans, cost estimates and contract specifications for the construction, reconstruction or alteration of electrical systems in County buildings, bridges or other related projects;
Reviews plans, estimates and specifications of electrical systems prepared by consulting engineers, and makes recommendations to administrative supervisors as to revisions or approval of the plans submitted;
Inspects or directs the inspection of electrical work being performed by contractors; recommends revision or acceptance of the work during each phase and at completion;
Makes studies of new projects and procedures in the field of electrical engineering.
