The Northrop Grumman Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) organization is seeking a highly experienced Lead (Staff) Windows SystemsAdministrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will support Northrop Grumman's Space Systems sector infrastructure.
Note- The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our facility/campus in Aurora, CO. This is not a virtual position.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Perform as a primary Windows/VMware SystemsAdministrator for a classified government contact.
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
Analyze internal and external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.
Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and manage virus protection on a routine basis.
Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.
Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors, and evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.
Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
Understand vulnerability and risk mitigation in accordance with RMF & DoD JSIG standards.
Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree with 10 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 14 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 16 years of IT experience is required
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows, VMWare, Horizon VDI
Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) baseline certification (Examples: Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP); the certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment
Experience with infrastructure architecture and design, including Enterprise Implementation, Data Migration, and Maintenance
Experience in Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and IA accreditation

Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a recent Polygraph [adjudicated within the last 5 years], in order to be considered

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Information Technology, a Security+ CE, MCSE (or similar Microsoft cert), and 12 years of Windows Server Administration to include VMWare, and Horizon VDI in a classified environment
Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.
Experience in PKI (Certificate Authority) design and implementation
Experiences in scripting (PowerShell) and Automation
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment
Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification
Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. • 20% - Diagnoses network-related problems, often involving contact with end users, to identify symptoms. Isolates faults to a particular network and/or cabling system/set of components. Assists in identifying any defective equipment (fiber, copper, or hardware) and/or utilizes network test equipment such as a protocol analyzer to isolate the fault. Engages in repair effort.
• 20% - Assist with the network management and monitoring of systems (DNS, Aerohive, Meraki, SolarWinds) which support the networking functions for MSU Denver's computing environments. These provide round-the-clock monitoring and automated paging to MSU Denver IT network support staff. Likewise, they continuously monitor suspected security violations and facilitate inventory control and operating system upgrades.
