What you will do - Essential Responsibilities Work with the architect team regarding design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure projects, focusing on server management, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions. Manage and optimize Azure Stack HCI, including configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning. Demonstrate expertise in Hyper-V virtualization, including Virtual Machine Manager, and ensure efficient operation of virtual environments. Manage and optimize Dell infrastructure, including Dell PowerFlex Hardware, Dell Data Domain, dHCI Storage, and APEX Cloud Management. Configure and maintain SD Networking infrastructure, including Switch Embedded Teaming (SET), RDMA (RoCE, iWARP), and Network ATC and Intents. Administer Windows OS clustering and utilize Windows Admin Center for system management. Conduct performance and capacity planning to anticipate infrastructure growth needs and ensure high availability. Perform data center rack/stack and cabling duties as required, adhering to best practices for physical infrastructure maintenance. Ability to be on-site at data centers as required for vendor access or to address issues. Automate routine and complex tasks using PowerShell to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.     As a key member of the graphics engineering team, you will learn and contribute to technical and product solutions for our graphics systems. This role is designed to foster growth and development by working under the direction of the Manager of Graphics System Engineering to assist with system performance, address technical challenges, and explore emerging technologies like AI to enhance our graphical workflows. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine system health checks, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance tasks on broadcast graphics systems to help maintain peak efficiency and consistent day-to-day performance Assist in the testing and implementation of new software releases and innovative technologies. Collaborate with fellow Graphics System Engineers to execute business and technical projects, ensuring alignment with requirements and seamless implementation Research, prototype, and assist in the implementation of AI-driven tools to automate tasks, generate content, or enhance data integration within the graphics ecosystem. Research, experiment, and implement emerging AI tools for content creation (e.g., generative art for textures/backgrounds) and workflow automation. Evaluate through internal customer interactions, current and future business and systems requirements - recommending solutions and new approaches as appropriate. Work closely with editorial and production teams at all stages to ensure requirements are defined, prioritized, communicated, and delivered Support the process from the creative to the development of graphics utilized in various broadcast environments, ensuring alignment with creative vision and editorial standards. Actively learn the graphic systems technology and help maintain clear system documentation Ability to learn, manage, and advance graphics systems used for productions (VizRT, Unreal Engine, TruVu Max, etc), ensuring optimal performance and driving continuous improvement. This includes assisting with software updates, hardware maintenance, system configuration, and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime Assist with the operational maintenance and troubleshooting of virtual production systems, such as Unreal Engine, Zero Density, Pixotope, and Mo-Sys. Integrate real-time data into multiple graphics systems Assist in the management and maintenance of the process and database of weather data utilized in all graphics systems used for broadcast Education, Experience, Certification Requirements Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, broadcast, or a related field; or an equivalent portfolio of practical work 1-2 years of experience or a strong portfolio of relevant academic/personal projects demonstrating foundational skills in graphics, systems, or AI is required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Familiarity with real-time graphics systems (VizRT, TruVu Max, and/or Unreal Engine) Willingness to learn and apply skills in creating and implementing broadcast graphics and templates within a live production setting Foundational ability to utilize a scripting language such as Python, Viz Scripting, HTML5, or JavaScript. Experience in managing multiple projects of various priorities and collaborating in a team to complete work A demonstrated passion for emerging technology, particularly the application of AI/ML in creative and broadcast environments. A curious and analytical mindset with a strong desire to learn and solve problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude. Ability to be on-call during non-traditional work hours and maintain flexible hours during critical events, such as severe weather coverage.
