The Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer supports the 402d SWEG's mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the MQ-9 Reaper and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter. All work will be performed on base. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise for the engineering, testing, and deployment of GEOINT systems, ensuring they meet operational and performance standards. Take ownership of GEOINT system engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and system specifications while managing project risks and deliverables. Lead efforts to identify and resolve system performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges. Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to management and stakeholders on project progress and technical issues. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree(BS or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience with Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) applications and systems. This experience must include the following: Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, GEOINT application software, system management tools, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows based environments Ensuring the highest levels of systems availability Monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifying possible solutions, and working with developers to implement those fixes. Providing 2nd and 3rd level support. Experience with automation software including: Puppet Enterprise Ansible Python PowerShell Bash Experience with Atlassian tool suite including: Jira BitBucket Nexus Jenkins Experience with virtualization and containerization to include VMware. Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS or MS Azure. Individual(s) will be expected to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff.
