Summary of the position:
As the SAP Materials Master Data Analyst and Power BI Developer specializing in SAP Material Flow and Power BI Development, you will play a critical role in extending material master data into each plant based on the data provided by engineering, production, and other related departments in a timely manner, leveraging SAP solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness, and identifying issues with related material master data management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain operations, procurement, engineering, and the SAP team to identify improvement opportunities, gather requirements, and implement solutions that align with our business objectives. You will also utilize, create, develop, and manipulate data in Power BI and Tableau. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide insights into procurement KPIs. You will collaborate closely with procurement stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that the solutions you create are aligned with business objectives.
This position is located on-site in Michigan City, Indiana.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Material Master Data Management:
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of material master data within SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
Power BI Developer:
Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to track procurement KPIs.
Collaborate with procurement teams to gather requirements and understand data needs.
Transform raw data into meaningful visualizations and actionable insights.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing appropriate data validation techniques.
Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities.
Stay updated with Power BI features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
Work with IT and data engineering teams to integrate various data sources into Power BI.
Data Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement data quality procedures, including data cleansing, validation, and standardization to maintain high data integrity.
Process Improvement:
Identify and drive improvements in material master data processes, utilizing SAP S/4HANA functionalities to streamline operations and enhance data management practices.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, inventory, manufacturing, finance) to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business processes.
Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for material master data procedures and provide training to end-users to ensure adherence to best practices.
Troubleshooting:
Resolve data-related issues and discrepancies, providing timely support and solutions to minimize impact on business operations.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze reports related to material master data to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
Experience with SQL and data extraction from various databases.
Familiarity with procurement processes and KPI metrics is a plus.
SAP ECC preferably S4/HANA material master data management experience
Good understanding of S4 /HANA.
Experience collaborating with stakeholders to improve material master data management
Create, develop, and manipulate data in Power BI and Tableau
Education:
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, such as supply chain management, procurement, computer science, business administration, or a related field, or at least 3-5 years of master data management and strong understanding of our internal processes, work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
