Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst who thrives on using data to drive operational and strategic decisions. This role will be pivotal in designing and maintaining scalable reporting tools, dashboards, and system enhancements that support our purchasing, merchandising, and inventory teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen-particularly with Tableau, SQL, and Excel-along with a deep understanding of business processes and data structures. While inventory analysis is part of the scope, the primary focus is to elevate our business intelligence infrastructure and improve system integration and data visibility across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Systems Development
Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau (or similar BI tools) to deliver insights on service levels, supplier performance, forecast accuracy, and operational KPIs.
Utilize SQL and data warehouse systems to extract and transform data for analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps and drive improvements in data pipelines, system workflows, and automated reporting.
Translate business requirements into system and reporting solutions that inform strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
Partner with IT and operational leads on system enhancements and integration projects to improve data governance and accessibility.
Lead small-scale BI projects focused on increasing forecasting precision and workflow automation.
Inventory Data & Analytical Support (Secondary Focus)
Provide structured, data-driven inventory insights to support Purchasing Managers and improve planning accuracy.
Create weekly inventory and purchasing performance dashboards to highlight trends and improvement opportunities.
Help forecast future inventory needs through scenario modeling and simulation tools.
Conduct item master data reviews and help ensure integrity across ERP and planning systems.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
3+ years of experience in business systems analysis, BI development, or data analytics.
Proven track record of developing dashboards and BI solutions to support cross-functional teams.
Experience delivering data-driven insights and reporting solutions that influenced operational strategy.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms.
Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise.
High fluency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory data structures preferred.
Analytical & Soft Skills

The MCTP technical teams plan, design, and oversee the execution of models and simulations, U.S. Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS), and collaborative tools and services to support Army Warfighter Exercises (WFX).

In this role, you will:
Installs, configures, integrates, and administers the Army's Joint Land Component Training Capability (JLCCTC) models and simulations, including the Warfighters' Simulation (WARSIM) and its sub-components, and Army tactical servers and workstations, and perform systems integration tests between the simulation and tactical systems
Prepare equipment for shipment, receiving and setup at exercise site
Prepares, builds, and maintains domains, systems, and services specifically targeted to support the customer's management functions during training exercises
Analyzes hardware and software system capabilities against customer requirements, and develops approaches using on-hand resources to fulfill those requirements
Develop procedures to ensure the use of all Government-provided technology is in conformance with information security and assurance directives
Monitors and adjusts system linkages and performance during exercises, and coordinates the analysis, adjudication, and correction of hardware and software problems
Identifies shortfalls in the software and installation components of Government-provided software, and develops potential remedies
Prioritizes and manages simulation architecture planning and resourcing to enhance capabilities and further reduce loss of service risks during exercises

Responsibilities:
General
Provide leadership to project teams to lead external vendors on projects
Provide organizational leadership to project team members
Act as the technical leader for requirements, facilitating requirements and ensuring a quality on time delivery to the business customer
Intermediate BA:
Under minimal supervision, facilitate the business analysis process to identify business requirements for system solutions or improved processes that will increase efficiency and overall productivity.
Work cohesively with developers, business units, external vendors, and other test team members.
Responsible for the coordination of test planning for various types of projects.
Works on project teams that are developing or modifying moderately complex information systems. Includes analysis and documentation of business and system requirement and coordinating testing.
Analyzes business unit requests and understands business requirements, works with various technical staff members to determine possible solutions and communicate business and system impacts to IT and Operations staff.
Responsible for all artifacts and tasks produced in the Requirements and Testing disciplines of the Rational Unified Process (RUP), including Stakeholder Requests, current and future state models, Use Cases, Business Rules, User Interface requirements, Mapping documents, Supplementary Specifications and associated diagrams also includes Test Plans and test cases.
Senior / Lead BA:
Provides leadership to project teams and external vendors and works with the business to facilitate on time delivery of projects
Provide mentoring to fellow team members in all areas including vendor management, artifact management, and all related tools.
Lead the business analysis and testing processes and collaborate with project teams and external vendors in the delivery of software solutions for TCM Technology Services and our trading partners.
Translate stakeholder needs into system requirements.
Works closely with and provides leadership to other project team members and vendors that are developing or modifying complex information systems.
Maintains positive working relationships between Annuity Services, Technology Services and our Trading Partners.
Facilitates the elicitation and documentation of business and functional requirements and Testing disciplines of the Rational Unified Process (RUP), including Stakeholder requests, current and future state models, Use Cases, Business Rules, User Interface requirements, Mapping documents, Supplementary Specifications and associated diagrams; also includes Test Plans and test cases.
Qualifications:
General
Experience leading structured projects in a complex technical environment
Proven ability to lead external vendors
Ability to provide, receive, and act on critical feedback
Proven ability to work within a structured team environment and assist with successful delivery of projects
Intermediate BSA:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT or a business area discipline. Minimum of 2-4 years experience in business analysis. 2-4 years of industry experience preferred.
Senior BA:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT or a business area discipline (i.e. accounting, investments, or marketing). Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in business systems analysis. 2-4 years of industry experience also preferred. Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.
Lead BA:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT or a business area discipline (i.e. accounting, investments, or marketing) or equivalent education/experience. Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in business systems analysis. 2-4 years of industry experience also preferred. Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.
