Day to Day:

The position mentors' junior engineers, leads projects, and ensures availability, security, and best practices across platforms. The position will work closely with other members of the engineering team and other IT staff to ensure that technology solutions meet the hospital's standards for reliability, security, and efficiency. The role ensures a best-in-class IT Infrastructure operation in support of Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) business and clinical objectives, security, regulatory and all other requirements set forth by the OHH Leadership.
* Lead architecture and support of hybrid Microsoft 365 and identity services
* Design, implement, and enforce Azure AD and conditional access policies
* Oversee complex Intune deployments, baselines, Autopilot, and app protection policies
* Direct advanced troubleshooting for Exchange Hybrid migrations and mail delivery problems
* Architect virtualization clusters across Nutanix, VMware, and Citrix infrastructures
* Define and support backup and replication strategies using Commvault
* Plan and lead large-scale system upgrades, integrations, and cloud enablement projects
* Serve as highest-level escalation resource for critical incidents and outages
Qualifications
Experience:
* 7-10+ years in enterprise systems engineering
* 4-5 years with M365, Exchange Hybrid, Azure Identity, and Intune at scale
* Extensive experience with Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, and Dell/Cisco stack
* Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise backup and recovery workflows
* Extensive experience in Disaster recovery strategy and planning
* Extensive experience in documenting the enterprise environment
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Working Knowledge:
* Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025)
* Microsoft Windows File Clustering
* Hybrid Exchange architecture (mail flow, connectors, migration)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Administer and support core infrastructure technologies including, but not limited to: MSFT Servers, Active Directory, SCCM, VMWare, Pure Storage, and Azure AD.
* Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
* Provision, configure, and maintain virtual servers and services; manage performance, capacity, and lifecycle (patching, upgrades, decommissioning).

* Perform and/or coordinate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
* Monitor system health and availability with enterprise tools; respond to alerts and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, run diagnostics, document root cause and resolution, prioritize incidents, and assess and minimize business impact.
* Execute change management for infrastructure changes (planning, risk assessment, testing, approval, deployment, and post-change validation).
* Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, IT Business Analysts, and Developers to deliver solutions and meet SLAs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
