This is a highly collaborative position that interfaces with production, engineering, and IT teams. This work takes place in an active satellite production facility. Key job responsibilities 1. Provide first-line support for integrated hardware and software on production automation systems. These systems include custom automated test equipment, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) for automated manufacturing lines, associated interfaces with flight components and controllers, and interfaces to back-end networking, databases, and manufacturing execution systems. This first-line support will be include rotating weekly after hours on call shifts. 2. Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of integrated production systems to identify and resolve any technical issues, ensuring proper functionality and reliability. Document all issues and communicate effectively with technical engineering team members. Work may include Python program debugging, physical and logical network troubleshooting, and industrial controls debug (i.e. Programmable Logic Controllers, data acquisition systems, test chambers, sensors and I/O). 3. Deployment and Commissioning: Assist development team with bring-up of new systems, including some programming (Python), configuration and on-boarding to network and back-end systems. 4. Provide feedback to development teams and contribute to building and maintaining a high-performing, connected, safe and maintainable factory.
