Our customers are companies like Perplexity, Hugging Face, Manus, or Groq. We're building the next hyperscaler for AI agents.
👉 About the role
You will be building the next cloud platform for running AI software - a cloud where AI apps are building other software apps.
Your job will be:
Building a distributed system for millions and billions of AI agents running on E2B
Building an orchestrator for placing sandboxes in the right nodes

Performance obsession - You've shaved milliseconds off hot paths, understand CPU caches and memory locality, and have profiled production systems under load. You know what "p99 latency" means and care deeply about making it better
Networking expertise - Strong understanding of L4/L7 load balancing, network namespaces, iptables/nftables, and how to build secure, isolated network topologies for multi-tenant systems
Located in San Francisco or willing to relocate - We work in person as a team and believe in the magic that happens when engineers collaborate face-to-face on hard problems
Excited about open source - Comfortable with our code and infrastructure being public. You contribute to discussions, write clear documentation, and help the community succeed with self-hosting
👉 Bonus points for:
Experience with userfaultfd (UFFD), copy-on-write mechanisms, or lazy loading
GPU passthrough or PCIe device virtualization experience
Built or maintained infrastructure for AI/ML workloads
Contributions to Firecracker, Cloud Hypervisor, or similar open source projects
Experience with observability at scale (distributed tracing, kernel-level metrics)

Systems Engineer in San Francisco - Renegade
Workshub
Systems analyst job in San Francisco, CA
What is Renegade?
Renegade is building an unstoppable network for the anonymous exchange of value. Our core permissionless protocol, the Renegade dark pool, solves many problems in current decentralized exchange design: front-running, quote fading, copy trading, toxicity discrimination, and fragmented liquidity.
Based on zero-knowledge and multi-party cryptography, Renegade allows for complete trade privacy during the entire trade lifecycle. Zero information about orders, balances, past trade history, or collateral values can leak to third-parties, allowing for strong anonymity guarantees and best execution for large whale traders.
Dark pools are well-understood pieces of traditional finance market structure, accounting for 20-40% of TradFi equities volume. We are building the crypto-native analog of dark pools.
Renegade is a seed-stage startup backed by some of the best crypto investors, including Naval Ravikant, Dragonfly Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, Tarun Chitra, and Lev Livnev. We work in-person in downtown San Francisco, 6 days a week.
What You'll Do
As a systems engineer, you will be working on our core off-chain networking protocol. You will optimize network performance to maximize throughput on the exchange. You will work on our off-chain indexer, caching layer, and pubsub system, allowing for traders to have the best view into the network. You will also work closely with the Cairo/StarkNet contract, implementing and optimizing on-chain verification and stateful elements.
You'd be a good fit if..
You have a background in Rust development or high-performance systems work.
Have an understanding of networking protocols and can optimize network topologies.
Interested in working on low-level hardware optimizations, including GPU and FPGA proving.
Have worked on building robust and scalable production-ready distributed systems.
Our Stack
Cryptography: Maliciously-secure SPDZ for MPC, and Bulletproofs for ZKP verification.
Languages: Rust for the protocol-layer, Typescript for interfaces and CLI.
Networking: libp2p for peer discovery.
Settlement: StarkNet for scalability and consensus.

Distributed Systems Engineer
Arcade Ai, Inc.
Systems analyst job in San Francisco, CA
The Revolution Needs You
Everyone's talking about AI. But here's the truth: ChatGPT can't send your emails. It can't book your flights. It can't even order you lunch.
Why? Because AI is trapped in a chat box. It can't take real actions in the real world.
We are changing that forever. We're not just building another AI company - we're creating the infrastructure that will power every AI application you'll use in the future.
Why This Is The Opportunity of a Lifetime
Founder-Market Fit : Our CEO previously founded Stormpath (acquired by Okta), where he created the first Authentication API for developers. He's done this before - and this time the market is 10x bigger. Our CTO led the vector database team at Redis, shipped 100+ LLM applications, and is a contributor to LangChain and LlamaIndex. He knows this space better than anyone.
Dream Team : We've assembled authentication, integrations, distributed systems, and AI experts from Okta, Redis, Microsoft, Splunk, Ngrok, Google, Airbyte, Disney, and HPE who've built and founded multiple successful developer platforms.
Perfect Timing : We're at the inflection point of AI adoption. The biggest problem isn't better models - it's connecting AI to real-world actions. That's us.
Massive Market : We're building critical infrastructure for the biggest technological shift of our generation. Every AI app will need what we're building.
Backed By The Best : Our investors have backed Databricks, Clickhouse, MongoDB, Perplexity, Cohere, ScaleAI, Confluent, Elastic, and Firebase. They see what we see - this is going to be huge.
The Challenge
We are building the runtime and registry for AI/LLM tools. You will define both how AI interacts with the world, and how humans build and manage those tools. This includes creating production-grade integrations, and the services & toolkits that run them... and the solving the unique problems of AI/LLM usage along the way. We are building a SaaS application first, and then allowing folks to run part of that infrastructure on-site via hybrid deployments.
This role is primarily focused on our back-end services, but as an early member of a startup, you'll be working up-and-down the stack. We build our software with Go, Python, and Typescript, and expect you to be a pro in at least one of those. We are looking for people who constantly ship and don't get stuck - we are looking for folks who are always learning and and able to apply that knowledge to their work and teach it to the team.
What You'll Do
Build the infrastructure to manage the backplane for all future AI tools
Design, build, test, and deploy high-performance, secure, production-grade software.
Develop SDKs and frameworks that make it easy for other developers to build custom tools
Help set industry standards for tool calling and authorization (for example, we helped write the MCP authorization spec)
Create integrations with major platforms and LLMs (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, OpenAi, Anthropic, etc.)
Shape the roadmap for the team
Build leverage (via AI) - projects that take a week today should take a day next time.
Share your work with our customers and community, building our (and your) brand.
Required Skills

Machine Learning Systems Engineer, Research Tools
Menlo Ventures
Systems analyst job in San Francisco, CA
Machine Learning Systems Engineer, Research ToolsAbout Anthropic
Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role:
You want to build the cutting-edge systems that train AI models like Claude. You're excited to work at the frontier of machine learning, implementing and improving advanced techniques to create ever more capable, reliable and steerable AI. As an ML Systems Engineer on our Research Tools team, you'll be responsible for the critical algorithms and infrastructure that our researchers depend on to train models. Your work will directly enable breakthroughs in AI capabilities and safety. You'll focus obsessively on improving the performance, robustness, and usability of these systems so our research can progress as quickly as possible. You're energized by the challenge of supporting and empowering our research team in the mission to build beneficial AI systems.
Our finetuning researchers train our production Claude models, and internal research models, using RLHF and other related methods. Your job will be to build, maintain, and improve the algorithms and systems that these researchers use to train models. You'll be responsible for improving the speed, reliability, and ease-of-use of these systems.
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 2+ years of software engineering experience
Like working on systems and tools that make other people more productive
Are results-oriented, with a bias towards flexibility and impact
Pick up slack, even if it goes outside your job description
Enjoy pair programming (we love to pair!)
Want to learn more about machine learning research
Care about the societal impacts of your work
Strong candidates may also have experience with:
Python
Implementing LLM finetuning algorithms, such as RLHF
Representative projects:
Profiling our reinforcement learning pipeline to find opportunities for improvement
Building a system that regularly launches training jobs in a test environment so that we can quickly detect problems in the training pipeline
Making changes to our finetuning systems so they work on new model architectures
Building instrumentation to detect and eliminate Python GIL contention in our training code
Diagnosing why training runs have started slowing down after some number of steps, and fixing it
Implementing a stable, fast version of a new training algorithm proposed by a researcher
Deadline to apply:None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The expected salary range for this position is:
$300,000 - $405,000 USD
Logistics
Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship:We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact - advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI - rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
