Update docket based on docket answers/instructions received from attorneys and paralegals
Monitor daily docket to ensure all deadlines are met
Perform monthly status check of pending US patent applications
Manage incoming and outgoing transferred files

Save correspondence in document management system to maintain electronic files
Required Skills Include:
Working knowledge of US and International patent and trademark prosecution processes and their associated rules and procedures

Experience in patch management and verification to ensure systems remain protected against known threats and compliant with USGS's enterprise patching schedule.
Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks (i.e., STIG) to support system hardening, compliance tracking, and audit preparedness throughout the system lifecycle.
Clear communication and cross team coordination as you must be comfortable working across distributed teams, communicating clearly with system owners, engineers, and federal stakeholders to explain risks, outline remediation steps, and coordinate implementation.

Systems application specialist job in Hebron, OH
Design, implement, maintain, and support MPW's Operational Technology (OT) systems that enable reliable remote operations. This includes responsibility for the full connectivity stack supporting MPW's HMI fleet-from Cradlepoint routers providing internet access, through industrial communications paths, down to the HMI hardware and Rockwell Automation software running on those devices. Ensures secure, standardized, and highly available OT environments across all operational sites.
Essential Functions:
OT Connectivity & Infrastructure
· Deploy, configure, and support Cradlepoint routers and associated LTE/5G connectivity used to provide secure, reliable site communications.
· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network paths between field equipment, HMIs, cloud services, and control platforms.
· Implement and maintain redundancy, failover, and health monitoring for OT connectivity.
HMI Fleet Management
· Lifecycle ownership of all MPW HMIs, including hardware specification, imaging, deployment, patching, security hardening, and replacements.
· Ensure standardized, reliable delivery of MPW's HMI software stack across all field and industrial deployments.
· Oversee configuration, performance tuning, logging, and health of HMI devices.
Rockwell Automation Ecosystem
· Support, deploy, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation software, including FactoryTalk View, Studio 5000/Logix Designer, RSLinx, and related communications.
· Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate HMIs with PLCs, sensors, and other industrial equipment.
· Maintain version control and validated configuration sets for OT applications.
Operational Support & Reliability
· Provide Tier 2/3 escalation for OT systems, including HMI failures, connectivity loss, software errors, or PLC/HMI communication issues.
· Perform root-cause analysis on recurring OT issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
· Build and maintain documentation for OT standards, configurations, and procedures.
Projects & Deployments
· Lead OT technology deployments at operational sites, including network configuration, HMI installation, and control-system integration.
· Participate in new system design, proof-of-concept testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Some travel required to support site rollouts, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with cross-functional projects involving IT infrastructure and ICS integration.
Provide training and guidance to OT and operations personnel on system usage and best practices.
Participate in an on-call rotation for business-critical OT systems.
Required Skills:
· Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, industrial automation, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum 3-5 years experience supporting industrial control systems, HMIs, or OT networks.
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical diagnostic approach.
· Experience with the majority of the following:
o Cradlepoint or similar industrial/cellular networking platforms.
o Rockwell Automation tools: FactoryTalk View ME/SE, Studio 5000/Logix Designer, RSLinx Classic/Enterprise.
o Industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, CIP).
o Windows-based HMI systems, imaging, deployment, and patching.
