You will report directly to our Sr. HSE Manager and you'll work out of our Tonawanda, NY location with the Tonawanda site personnel. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility. • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications. • Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace. • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures. • Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies. • Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection. • Promote environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organization's operations. • Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments. • Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters.
