Meta is seeking a Connectivity Systems Engineer to join our DEC Design Engineering team. Our Data Centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. This role is responsible for the design of inside and outside plant structured cabling and infrastructure for our data center installations - including new builds, retrofits, special projects, and technology modifications. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver project designs meeting capacity and network requirements as well as rollout timelines 14. Drive scalable structured cabling solutions throughout Meta owned or operated data center spaces and support facilities 15. Serve as a Technical SME for programs and projects that one leads 16. Provide regular project status updates and support DEC Design Engineering and corporate dashboards that capture delivery, cost, quality, and other established metrics 17. Responsible for the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and migration of client networks and devices. Configure network switches, next gen firewalls, wireless devices, and VPN. Install and maintain new and existing structured cabling at customer sites. Work with communication vendors to ensure reliable internet connectivity for Logical Net clients. Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, Cybersecurity, desktop operating systems, and structured cabling is required. This position is an integral member of the Logical Net engineering group and Network Team. Communication and collaboration with clients, account management, senior engineering, and first level support staff is critical in this role. Local and regional travel (NY, NJ, PA) is required.
