Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

You will have the opportunity to explore multiple technologies while learning from different engineers within Travelers. As an EDP participant, you will model the way for others and set a personal example of what is expected. You will be expected to positively challenge processes and identify new and innovative ways to get work done more effectively and efficiently. You will be expected to take initiative, embrace change, actively listen to, and support diverse points of view and celebrate the success of others. What Will You Do?
Travelers' Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering team designs, builds, and supports an evolving and dynamic set of technologies, platforms and services enabling our employees, software engineers, data scientists, and others ensuring the delivery of business critical and strategic outcomes.
EDP participants in this track help drive cutting edge infrastructure solutions utilizing the latest innovative cloud-based technologies, in the following areas:
Infrastructure Engineering: Design and implement solutions that are automated/software defined, high performing, stable, modular and future proofed, with focus on optimizing use/customer experience.
Infrastructure Operations: Support our critical platforms and services, including incident triage, service restoration, root cause analysis, and front-line support
Infrastructure Analytics: Derive value from the data about our infrastructure, focusing on monitoring, application resiliency, behavioral patterns and anomalies, and capacity trending
Day to day, you would be involved with engineering support, installation and/or operations of infrastructure technologies, showcasing your skills in diagnostic testing, technical analysis and engineering support associated with approved vendor products, engineering packages and installed solutions.
EDP participants in this track will experience an immersive learning journey focused on disruptive technologies, insurance, strategy, leading self and influencing others. Additional program components include mentoring, networking, and career guidance.
Please note that occasional travel for business meetings and events is an expectation of program participants.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
3 years or less of technology related experience (may include one or more internship experiences in the Technology field).
Exposure to Object-oriented programming (OOP) in one major language.
