Prior experience of at least two years experience with various imaging equipment manufacturers or other appropriate related experience
Minimum of two years experience in the repair of radiology equipment and prior biomedical experience
Should possess specialized knowledge in several specialized modalities such as radiology, ultrasound, etc
Prefer certification (CRES) in these different modalities
Good communication and strong customer service skills
Ability and willingness to serve "on-call" duty as required
Must be willing to serve as a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s)

**Overview**
The Downstream Process Support Engineer will work with the Central Engineering and Plant Operations teams across Graham Packaging North America to drive standardization, optimization, and improvement in Post-Molding Applications. **Responsibilities**
**Engineering & Technical Support**
+ Provide hands-on engineering support and deployment of post-molding process solutions.

Where You'll Be Located:

Depth of experience should include some combination of consulting design work, construction, manufacturing, engineering, operations, and/or maintenance of rail operations, rail infrastructure, and/or rolling stock.
Breadth of experience should include a working knowledge of some combination of mainline track, rail yards, sidings, stations (above & below grade), terminals, grade crossings, tunnels, bridges, switches, signal systems, power systems (overhead catenary, third-rail), locomotives (diesel, diesel/electric, or electric power), passenger cars, transit cars, freight cars, maintenance-of-way cars/vehicles, rolling stock maintenance, facilities maintenance, maintenance-of-way, Federal Employees Liability Act (FELA), railroad worker safety, track safety, passenger safety, etc.
You can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You have excellent technical, analytical, writing and communication skills.
You are willing to travel about 20% on average.
You have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
Prior forensic experience is not required. We seek professionals eager to apply their deep industry knowledge to a challenging new domain.

The Digital Engineering Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is looking for a motivated and talented HPC/Linux Systems Engineer to provide expertise in the design and operation of Linux-based infrastructure which powers high-performance compute environments and labs. You will support the operation and needs of our digital infrastructure as well as third-party software tools and applications, provide strategies to design/architect, build, and efficiently maintain infrastructure plans based on business requirements and funding, as well as oversee the implementation of new system technologies.
We support hybrid work. The successful applicant will be based out of our Reston, VA office.
You will:
* Have deep knowledge of the Open Source technology platform stack to include operating systems (Linux), virtual machines, networking, data storage and backups, software applications, containers (Docker), container orchestration engines (Kubernetes), as well as the high-performance computing stack
* Develop processes and practices for design, maintenance, continuity of operations (COOP), and secure operation of systems, all in compliance with US government and DoD standards
* Develop and mature compute and lab environment Cloud technologies
* Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to analyze business needs to define and improve our architectural strategy
* Provide functional knowledge of systems and manage end user relationships with system and technical teams
* Conduct research on emerging technologies

These positions can be filled at multiple levels depending on education and experience. Minimally requires a Bachelors' degree plus 6 years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional education and/or experience required for higher level positions.
Required experience/knowledge include:
* Enterprise level architecture design and/or implementation of high-performance computing systems
* Exposure to or experience building & operating within a DoD environment, including knowledge of key NIST/ISO standards, DoD directives, and regulatory requirements (800-171/53 and STIGs)
Preferred experience/knowledge includes:
* Automation of administrative tasks such as configuration and hydration of compute environments
* Containerization technologies to include Kubernetes, Docker and Podman
* Containerization technologies to include Kubernetes
* Linux administration, security, and networking, and virtual machine technologies
* DoD Architecture Frameworks (DoDAF) to protect data and infrastructure against threats

Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where certification may be required and electrical safety inspections on imaging and related equipment in compliance with established standards
Perform major repairs by replacing defective components, readjust components to manufacturer's specifications using appropriate tools and measuring instruments. May require certification in order to complete repairs
Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians
Confers with manufacturer's representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment related problems

Conducts and compiles Quality Assurance records and reports necessary for compliance with specifications and policies
Document all significant asset related actions in compliance with department practices
Must be capable of performing all the duties and responsibilities of a BMET III
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training
Prior experience of at least two years experience with various imaging equipment manufacturers or other appropriate related experience
Minimum of two years experience in the repair of radiology equipment and prior biomedical experience
Should possess specialized knowledge in several specialized modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath. lab., linear accelerators, etc.
Prefer certification (CRES) in these different modalities
Good communication and strong customer service skills
Ability and willingness to serve "on-call" duty as required
Must be willing to serve as a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s)
