  • Azure Systems Administrator (MSP)

    Bowman Williams

Systems engineer job in Chicago, IL

Azure Systems Administrator (MSP )(Career Path → Cloud Engineer / Security Engineer) $80,000 - $95,000 I'm excited to share that we're growing our cloud & security team again due to new client wins and expanded project work. We're a financially backed, rapidly scaling cloud-focused MSP that's investing heavily in people, automation, and modern service delivery. Over the past 18 months we've doubled recurring revenue, standardized our cloud environment deployment model, and expanded our security practice across our entire client base. Our philosophy is simple: build an MSP where engineers can actually grow, touch modern cloud tools daily, and avoid the grind of chaotic reactive environments. We run a proactive, automation-forward service model built around Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Zero Trust principles, and a clean project delivery framework. If you want a place where your career accelerates, where you get exposure to real cloud work and not just ticket noise, this is the environment to do it. We're now hiring a Cloud Systems Administrator who wants to grow into a full Cloud Engineer or Security Engineer role. This is a position where you'll have a voice, be part of a small but highly skilled engineering group, and get mentored by senior cloud architects. What You'll Own • Take the lead on Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID administration across multiple cloud environments. • Work inside our cloud-first stack (Azure, AVD, Intune, automation tools) and participate in project deployment work. • Manage core system operations and identity management, endpoint compliance, update rings, conditional access, and device provisioning. • Participate in cloud transformation projects, including Azure build-outs, modern workplace deployments, and security hardening initiatives. • Collaborate closely with senior cloud engineers to design scalable, secure configurations for our clients. • Help evaluate and improve our internal best practices, templates, and automation scripts. • Interact directly with clients in a consultative, relationship-driven setting, not a ticket mill. What We're Looking For • 2+ years of experience within a cloud-driven MSP environment. • Strong foundation in Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, Intune, and modern identity management. • Familiarity working within tools like Datto, NinjaOne, Kaseya, or similar modern MSP platforms. • Someone excited about a future path in Cloud Engineering, Azure Infrastructure, or Cybersecurity. • A self-driven technologist who likes being part of a tight, collaborative engineering team. • Clear communicator who enjoys being client-facing in a professional, relationship-focused setting. Why People Love Working Here • Real career growth into Cloud Engineer or Security Engineer role, and it will be documented, not lip service. • A modern MSP environment with standardized delivery processes and strong investment in Azure + security. • Zero “ticket mill” culture: healthy workload & excellent work/life balance. • Small, collaborative team that actually supports one another. • Health, dental, PTO, holidays, and additional benefits as we continue expanding. • A role where your ideas are heard and your skillset grows every single month.
