Leidos is seeking Systems Engineering Interns to support multiple programs across the Leidos Innovations Center (LInC)

The Model Based Systems Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, multiple subsystem vendors, and their Government counterparts to manage the system trade studies, conduct requirements analysis, and drive system and interface design that is derived from customer needs for product development programs associated with the DoD, DARPA, NASA, and commercial applications.Learn about the system architecture, dictating system interfaces, performing requirements verification, helping develop test programs, and maintaining configuration management. Work with the team designing the system trade studies working with subject matter experts, monitor execution, manage data and track performance metrics, perform configuration control, summarize the results of those trade studies, and draw actionable conclusions for program leadership. Partner with team to present the systems engineering artifacts developed to the customer in formal design reviews and will serve as a customer liaison in many of their programs.The MBSE will support multiple programs at once in a variety of engineering fields with many different team environments.Join a diverse team of systems engineers within Leidos and have the opportunity to work on programs from their preferred background, as well as challenge themselves by working on programs outside of their expertise.The MBSE will have the opportunity to support systems engineering efforts on LInC programs, serving as the systems engineering representative to program management and coordinating activities among multiple systems engineers.Develop, model, and test EW algorithms in Matlab, Simulink, or C++.Participate in lab-based and field testing of EW systems; Analyze results to identify root causes and trends.System requirements development and analysis using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for EW and Hypersonic systems.

This position may be based out of Arlington, San Diego, Albuquerque, Dayton, Ann Arbor, Huntsville, King of Prussia or potentially other Leidos Innovations Center (LinC) locations.
Basic Qualifications
Enrolled in Master's degree program in Engineering or related field Ability to work in a team environment Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas Interest in learning about requirements for complex air vehicle aerodynamic, propulsion, electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the top-down systems engineering process for architecture development and bottoms-up verification Experience supporting DoD, NASA, or DARPA programs Experience performing risk management, test planning, and/or proposal development Academic experience in performing system trade studies for aerospace systems

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $78,000.00 - $105,300.00
