    The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) are Amazon's front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. They provide 24/7 shift coverage which could include 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks. Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center - Troubleshoot of facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs - Perform limited maintenance tasks to including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements - Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians - Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures - Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work - Work a 12 hour shift (rotating 3 and 4 day work weeks days or nights) - Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.) - Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows and spare part inventory - Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance - Respond to off hour emergency calls per on call rotation for any one of the region's sites - Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies - Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities - Manipulate small wires and objects Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation: - Walk job sites in uneven terrain - Work at heights and from ladders - Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 40 pounds or more - Bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working - Push or pull heavy objects into position This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. You will get information from your peer technicians who are ending shift, review the maintenance schedule for any tasks due that day, and then perform routine physical checks of our critical systems. After these rounds are complete, you and your shift partner will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, take repair actions, and perform facility maintenance. Military DoD SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from GE Aerospace, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. **Job Description** In this role, the Advanced Lead Test Engineer acts as the Test Director, coordinating test card execution, setup, facility needs, inspections, and deliverables. Responsible for the readiness, setup, and execution of commercial and military Development Engine Tests. Coordinate engineering requirements, partner with Evaluation and Systems engineering, contribute to the design and implementation of new test systems, upgrade existing ones, and lead the test operations team to execute test campaigns. Experience and expertise will be utilized to solve problems, develop objectives, and impact both short-term and some long-term business goals. The position involves improving existing products and components, planning and executing within standard functional practices and procedures, and operating with some autonomy while receiving limited guidance from senior-level personnel. This position is 100% on site at Edwards AFB, California. **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Active Military personnel on the last 180 days before exiting Military Service + Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering from an ABET university or college + At least 4 additional years of experience in an Engineering position (Military experience is accepted) + Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher **Essential Functions:** Individuals selected for this internship will have the responsibility and authority to carry out all assigned tasks **Desired Skills / Experience:** + Self-motivated and driven + Knowledge of fulfillment, assembly, instrumentation, and test disciplines + Familiarity with the TSE Department Sections and Sub-Sections + Engine and Rig test experience + Experience with finance and scheduling tools, Open plan, Clarity, Spotfire + Established project management skills and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously + Very strong oral and written communication skills + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills + Ability to influence small teams and across functions + Experience working with DoD and/or Commercial customer and processes + Active DoD Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher _This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
