Here's the Gist:
The Security Systems Supervisor is a member of the Security and Emergency team reporting to the Security Systems Manager. The Security Systems Supervisor also supports all matters involving the Security and Emergency department on an as-needed basis.

The Day-to-Day:
Lead and manage security systems technicians (physical and electronic security) at the North Carolina locations; including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Ensure proper inventory management and quality control of services Manage security aspects of company construction projects at all company locations globally; including system design, internal stakeholder and vendor coordination Conduct all necessary coordination with internal and external stakeholders Ensure that all subordinates are competent and trained in security processes to meet team standards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations Assist in developing and facilitating training programs to support team performance goals Create, modify, and maintain policies and procedures Routinely seek opportunities for improvement of existing systems and processes

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Three (3) years of management experience surrounding: security system integration, corporate security, law enforcement, and/or military Fundamental understanding of physical access control (card reader) systems, including electrified locks; CCTV and associated networking; and physical barriers, including doors, locks, gates, and turnstiles.Must have strong leadership ability and willingness to delegate tasks appropriately Must be able to evaluate situations and demonstrate sound decision-making under stress High emotional intelligence to effectively engage with all stakeholders Must have strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail Must be a self-starter and perform with minimal guidance, including after-hours when needed Must have exceptional interpersonal and professional communication skills Must be able to learn and apply new skills Must have the ambition to seek constant improvement Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Flexibility to travel up to 50%, including internationally

SUPERVISOR, FIRE PROTECTION SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, Facilities-Repair and Maintenance, to provide leadership and supervision to the fire protection sprinkler systems team responsible for the maintenance, repair, inspections, and testing of the fire protection sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and fire extinguishers across campus. Will plan and schedule preventive maintenance and daily work assignments of team members; maintain appropriate documentation to satisfy NFPA regulatory and insurance requirements; provide QA/QC to ensure the highest quality of work; coordinate and provide training for changes and additions to NFPA, state, and local codes; coordinate and support fire protection sprinkler system shutdowns; participate in the design review process for new projects and assist with the commissioning of all new installations; provide oversight of outside contractors; act as project manager for small construction projects and as liaison with Cambridge Fire Department; and assist with campus emergency responses as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years' experience in a supervisory role and installing and maintaining fire protection and life safety sprinkler systems; Massachusetts' fire protection sprinkler contractor's license; familiarity with fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA, Massachusetts, and other local codes and standards; proficiency with job planning and execution and ability to manage work order backlogs and make sound judgments when prioritizing daily work; strong organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills; strong computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; valid driver's license; and ability to maneuver in and around mechanical rooms and on rooftops. PREFERRED: associate's degree in fire science; familiarity with SAP work order and planning modules; and a Massachusetts' master electrician license. Job #21532-9 The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.; but must also be available for off-hours emergencies and standby supervisory coverage on a rotating basis on weekends and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS: ascending/descending stairs; traversing the campus; moving about the jobsite and machinery to access equipment; remaining stationary for extended periods of time; and working from ladders, scaffolds, and other above-ground locations such as roofs. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required by the specific assignment. Environment contains dust, odors, and fumes; and high levels of noise and temperature extremes. Work will be performed near steam and moving machinery, in tight areas and confined spaces such as manholes and crawl spaces, and with and around chemicals and solvents. Some work performed in research labs and animal facilities and outdoors in inclement weather. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Lead the evaluation, planning, and implementation of critical or strategic initiatives and special projects.
