As part of the global controls team, you will work with highly motivated experts and innovators in the data center industry. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining the building management system (BMS) and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS). Using Amazon leadership principles, you will develop new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space.
AWS Data centers have multiple components such as generators, uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers [air-cooled and water-cooled], pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, air economizers, etc. All these components have local control systems that interact with each other via open and/or proprietary communications protocols. The BMS is the primary method of control of all mechanical systems within a data center. The EPMS is the primary method of monitoring all electrical systems within a data center.
Key job responsibilities
As a Data Center Controls Engineer you will:
• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Action for BMS and EPMS related issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of BMS and EPMS systems.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during life cycle of the data center.
• Review results and action items from the quarterly maintenances for BMS and EPMS and take actions to get them resolved.
• Develop BMS & EPMS projects scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of efforts (LOE) to projects requested by customers and stakeholders.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement related activities including request for quotation/proposals, responding to request for information, review of vendors proposal and issuance of purchase orders.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate BMS and EPMS technical support to in-service data centers.
• Attend project related meetings, coordinate with project leaders and regularly report status to Controls and stakeholders management.
• Support Controls projects related commissioning activities in the data centers.
• Review, implement, troubleshoot and iterate on the controls sequence of operation (SOO) and provide necessary feedback to the design team.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements and navigate challenging situations.
• Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts.
• Frequently visit (locally) assigned in-operation data centers to troubleshoot, meet customers, supervise vendor's work to ensure compliance with the scope, design, SOO and applicable local codes.

About the Role
As an Infrastructure Platform Engineer at Fieldguide, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to design, build, and deliver a cutting‑edge foundation for our product teams in a dynamic, cloud‑based environment. We operate in the enterprise segment, serving nonprofit organizations across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.
We're building a large and complex product ecosystem that serves nonprofits, donors, and partners around the world. The platform includes a modern checkout experience and customizable widgets (each a standalone SPA), donor, organization, and partner portals, admin tools, and several internal apps.
Our backend is powered by Node.js (Koa, NestJS) and MongoDB. The frontend stack includes Webpack, Vue.js, and React, with nearly all code written in TypeScript. For high-throughput messaging and background processing, we use Kafka (for millions of events) and Bull (Redis). Analytics data is stored in ClickHouse, and we use Elasticsearch for search.
The Team
We are a distributed team of 160+ product professionals, including 80+ engineers. Our team members are mainly based across Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus. Many of our developers bring 5 - 10+ years of experience, and we foster a culture of deep technical curiosity and knowledge sharing.

About the Role
As a Technical SupportEngineer, you are more than just a support agent; you are a product expert, a client advocate, and a technical detective. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues for our clients, ensuring they can leverage our platform to its fullest potential. You will also be the voice of the customer within our company, providing invaluable feedback that directly influences our product roadmap.
What You'll Do
Provide Expert Implementation Support: Guide clients on implementing our product across various web platforms, from standard websites to builders like Wix and WordPress.
Diagnose and Escalate Bugs: Expertly reproduce technical issues, investigate root causes, and create clear, structured reports for the development team.
Deliver World-Class Support: Respond to user requests with empathy and technical precision, digging deep to understand their real needs and guide them to the best solutions.
Influence Product Development: Participate in product meetings, bringing valuable user feedback and insights to help shape new features and improvements.
Build Our Knowledge Base: Maintain and contribute to our public help desk, FAQs, and internal knowledge base to empower both users and internal teams.
Act as a Product Resource: Serve as the go-to expert for product-related questions from other teams within the company.
Requirements
Excellent Communication Skills: Flawless written and spoken English is essential for communicating with our global user base and internal teams.
Relevant Experience: 2 years of experiencein technical support, product support, or a client-facing implementation role.
Technical Aptitude: You understand how the web works (HTML, CSS, JS) and ideally have hands‑on experience with web development. You are comfortable diving into technical problems.

What You'll Do:
Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers evaluating Lakera. Understand their needs and design solutions that align with their infrastructure using Lakera's platform.

Proficiency coding in the Python and Javascript ecosystems.
A track record of enabling large scale implementations in at least one of the hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure). Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
An understanding of and experience navigating security, compliance, and IT processes and requirements when implementing B2B products at large enterprises.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a comfort presenting in front of customers 1:1, in small groups, and at large conference venues.

An organized, self-starter approach with an eye for finding creative ways to get projects to the finish line.
