The system test technician is responsible for supporting customer development timelines, which includes the preparation of hardware upgrade to the latest software release. Further responsibilities include supporting the system/system integration test team. Responsibilities - Supports customer development and production teams - Maintains customer development vehicles and test benches with preparation of systems and/or components and flashing of latest SW releases. - Responsible for ECU verification checks (i.e. smoke testing) to ensure the deliverable can be met adequately - Interface with manual and automated bench tooling for testing purposes - Supports the planning process of timing & customer deliverables - Proactively identifies and foresees constraints that will or might lead to customer escalation and communicates as needed - Participate in the functional core team - Creates a final report documenting all results of the flashing & verification process

Are you mechanically inclined? Are you an "Up and Comer" and looking to be trained and developed in the world of systems testing? We are looking for a System Test Technician to join our expanding team. In this role you will be responsible for final system performance checking, testing, and auditing of Instron's systems and troubleshooting as required. The focus of this role is to protect and promote Instron's premium image, product design philosophy, and ensure we deliver the highest value for the customer's investment. Specific responsibilities include:

+ Performing final system performance test and verification against published specifications and documented customer requirements.
+ Documenting all activities compliant with applicable test procedures.

+ Maintain a strong focus on all assigned administrative tasks especially submitting/saving "paperwork" (electronic and hard copy) for all work performed on customer systems.

+ Continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

T **he successful candidate will be a student of learning and developing with a prize attitude. Experience in a service, military, preventative maintenance, or mechanical repair environment is a plus. **

**Additional pluses include:**

+ Experience repairing hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.

+ Intermediate to advanced computer system knowledge which includes experience with current operating systems and productivity software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, etc.).

Leidos systems test technician job description

The US Government uses space systems to solve many complex problems to protect our warfighters and gather information on threats to our national interest. The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) performs space payload systems research and development (R&D) to create innovative one-of-a-kind solutions to these complex Customer needs. Currently, we have a need for assembly, integration, and test of space sensor payloads to be conducted in a clean room environment.

LInC has an opportunity for an Optical Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA, to work on the research, design, development, and test of optical payload systems for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Space Situational Awareness (SSA) missions. Programs are funded by multiple US Government sponsors, industry, as well as Internal Research and Development (IR&D) efforts. The Sr. System Test Technician supports technical planning, test design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding.
Primary Responsibilities

+ Candidate is responsible for cleaning, handling, assembly, and integration of space-based component, subassemblies, and payloads consistent with industry best practices.

+ Should understand basic integration and test of optical systems and be familiar with implementing assembly and test procedures in a clean room environment.

+ Prepare engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/ diagrams/schematics, etc.).

+ Recommends alternative solutions to problems and obstacles.

+ Complete a wide range of tasks at a high level of quality to produce space-flight worthy hardware.

+ Exercise independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Basic Qualifications

+ High school diploma and eight (8) years or more of relevant experience

+ Must be a US Citizen and have the ability obtain a Secret secret security clearance

+ Knowledge space hardware handling and assembly according to Government standards

+ Knowledge and experience laboratory testing including environmental testing

+ Experience in working in a clean room environment

+ Working knowledge of MS Office applications, MatLab, and CAD (Solidworks)

+ Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills

+ Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with COTS electronic and electro-mechanical packaging

Pay Range:Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00
