Systems Unlimited Inc. is looking to hire the next Supported Living Program Administrator. This position leads a team of Service Coordinators and reports to the Director of SCL. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership through supporting staff and the individuals we serve in the following ways: • Establishing positive relationships and collaborating with Supported Community Living (SCL) staff, management, internal support departments, and additional external stakeholders; partnering with all involved to enhance the lives of those we serve • Coaching and training employees in the SCL Program; supporting teams to advocate for services consistent with the philosophy and core values of the agency• Promoting a cooperative environment that reduces conflict and strengthens trust among all stakeholders • Working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate new individuals moving into services• Providing on-site observation, feedback, and coaching as needed to build rapport with the individuals and staff on your team • Proactively coaching and mentoring coordinators to develop leadership skills; working with immediate supervisor and/or human resources to ensure staff are held accountable to established agency policies, procedures, and expectations • Reviewing annual budgets and recommending adjustments as needs change • Monitoring staffing levels according to budget, reducing hours during site vacancies and out of service days • Monitoring Coordinator and Overtime Dashboards to promote compliance, enhance service quality, and reduce overtime. • Leading coordinator meetings to assist with agency updates, communications and strategic initiatives • Completing and delivering annual staff evaluations; providing ongoing timely feedback on performance and addressing performance concerns • Participating in hiring team meetings to place applicants, being aware of open hours • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as needed to support the goals and objectives of the department or organization RequirementsThe applicant should have experience in the following areas: A BA/BS in a Human Services discipline and three years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities or a combination of education and experience which totals six years Four years of management and supervisory experience Administrative experience is highly desirable Excellent verbal and writing skills are a necessity Experience working with people with disabilities and implementing service provision strategies Applicant must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that is acceptable from a risk management perspective This position works primarily business hours M-F 8:00am-4:30pm. Occasional work in the evenings or on weekends may be required. This position is located in Iowa City, but occasional travel to outlying service areas is required.
